That fight scene was So Epic.
Both Action-Entertainment wise, and comic-entertainment wise.
Keith David was a Great Supporting actor for That Role.
He was basically a combination of Terry Crews, Lou Gossett Jr, Issac Hayes in Escape from NY, Bad News Brown, and That Hawk character from Spencer for Hire.

Stacey Keach, from That 80's show(Mike Hammer)was a Pro Boxer.
I remember my late-Dad mentioning that to me Way back in the day.
I think that Robert Urich from the shows Vegas and Spencer for Hire was also either a Pro boxer, or at least an Amatuer boxer.
As far as that goes, Charles Bronson Should also be mentioned, being that he Boxed while in The Army.
That's basically an Amateur Boxing career in itself. Even Tough-man contests are often counted as amateur careers of some sort. Basically a step below Golden-Gloves, more or less. I know that they were basically counted as amateur bouts on Tommy Morrison's behalf.

The Prizefight and the Lady. Tons of boxers in that film. Dempsey, Carnera, Jeffires, Papke, and probably others I'm forgetting since I haven't seen it in years. Strangler Lewis was in it, too.

I especially liked the scene where Baer was working in a Bar/Pub.
Baer was 25 in that 1934 flick. So Youthful and Gracefull.
Max Baer and Errol Flynn both lived from 1909-1959.
Both passed away at 50. Both from the same thing(Coronary based).
Flynn seemed to have natural boxing type abilities when he was in that 1942 flick, Gentleman Jim.
He practiced his footwork in preparation for that flick by walking fast on very condensed city sidewalks.
Flynn actually suffered a mild heart-attack during the making of that flick, due to the sheer amount of physical demand involved, coupled with obvious pre-existing factors(Flynn was allready a heavy drinker during that time-period). Amazing also that Flynn was only 33 in that flick, and seemed very physically fit. Just goes to show you...

Surprised no one has brought up this one :

Based on story by Kali Reis (https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/466374) who also plays the lead role herself.

Shelly Vincent (https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/584151) also featured in that movie as a boxing trainer and does an excellent job.

Kali was a convincing enough as an actor to be selected to star in next season of True Detective next to Jodie Foster.

Adam Fogerty had a decent role in Snatch and been in 45 odd films including Legend
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0283912/filmotype/actor

He was 18-1 as a British Heavyweight contender.

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/41436

He beat die decent journey man types and beat none other than Gypsy John Fury in his debut lol

George Foreman was in a sitcom called George.

I take it that it was crap because it lasted about as long as Charles Martin's reign as HW champion of the world.
