Press Release

KSI VS. DILLON DANIS – LIVE ON DAZN PPV JAN 14 FROM OVO ARENA WEMBLEY LONDON

DAZN Group, the global sports entertainment company, today unveils its fourth instalment of its ground-breaking crossover MF & DAZN: X SERIES in partnership with social media megastar KSI and his promotional company Misfits Boxing, and in association with the Sauerland brothers, Wasserman Boxing and Proper Loud. MF & DAZN: X SERIES 004, will be headlined by KSI vs. Dillon Danis.

The January 14th fight night will be available both live and on demand to all subscribers around the world on DAZN and DAZN PPV. Tickets details will be released soon. Visit MisfitsBoxing.com for more info.

With over 50 million followers across his various social media platforms, two Number 1 albums, and an unbeaten record in the ring, KSI is one of the world’s most recognisable faces. Last time out saw KSI take on two fighters in one night; rival Swarmz which resulted in a dominant second round stoppage for KSI, and an equally impressive performance against professional boxer Luis Pineda who he forced to the canvas six times within three rounds.

Dillon Danis career as a fighter started way back in his youth having entered a Jiu-Jitsu gym as a teenager, then moving to New York to pursue the possibility of becoming a professional athlete in the world of Jiu-Jitsu. He had successes in major competitions that were recognised throughout the fighting discipline, which led to his efforts being reward with a black belt in 2015.

With the blend of becoming an infamous name as well as his fighting background, he opted to step inside the cage with the promotion Bellator in 2018 where he pulled off a debut submission win against Kyle Walker. His second fight produced similar results when he submitted Max Humphrey to go 2-0 with the promotion. Now, Danis will enter the ring where he must lay his black belt aside and exchange it for boxing gloves and stand-up action on the feet.

KSI, CEO of Misfits Boxing, said “Dildo Danis has been the annoying bit of chewed up gum that ends up at the bottom of a shoe, and I think it’s time i scrape him off and get rid of him for good. Can’t wait to give him his first ever loss in his fighting career and make him irrelevant. Once he’s slumped on the floor, no one will care about him anymore. I’m the wrong one to mess with.”

Dillon Danis said “KSI has been running his mouth for too long, it’s time for El Jefe to teach this man about fighting. I get to come to England, embarrass him in front of his own people, then walk out of there like a king. He has not fought anyone you’d consider a fighter so he’s going to get seriously burnt playing with this fire. Stick to recording videos and let the king of London show you how to fight.”

“The KSI vs. Danis fight is enormous – it will bring so many eyes to crossover boxing and the fast-growing MF&DAZN: X Series. DAZN is very excited to be driving this growth. Adding this fight between two superstars is a great way for us to kick off 2023.” said Joseph Markowski, CEO DAZN North America.

President of Misfits Boxing and CEO of Proper Loud, Mams Taylor said: “KSI vs. Dillon Danis is a huge fight, and we already know it’s going to be another monumental moment for the X Series. These are two guys who genuinely dislike each other, and now we get to see that rivalry ignite in the ring. January 14, OVO Wembley Arena; we’re coming.”

“We are unbelievably excited to be able to announce MF & DAZN: X Series 004, and we are heading back to the capital where it all began,” said Kalle Sauerland, Head of Global Boxing at Wasserman Boxing. “We lit up London, shell-shocked Sheffield, took over Texas, and now we’re ready to go again with an unbelievable main event. KSI and Dillon Danis almost settled this one outside of the ring, but it’s a crazy match up that is going to see two guys trading with some mean intentions!”

The undercard for this massive event will be announced shortly.

Does anyone know what Danis was saying in the ring?

Nothing. It was all gibberish.

Danis is awful. World class Jiu-Jitsu and Askren-level striking. He's been beat up a bit on his feet against guys with losing records in MMA.

Anthony Taylor shook him with a punch outside.

Sent him flying.

And called him Dildo Dani’s afterwards.

The Sauerlands were pissed that it got filmed by IFL.

Mental that you have influencers making 100s of thousands fighting poor fights in dazn, yet you have Danniyar Yeleussinov who's an Olympic gold medalist and ibo champion talking about walking away as he doesn't have a promoter or a fight booked.

Dannis is shit. But he is still a quality athlete that would of spent 1000s of hours working on his striking. and has been playing with a boxing move for a while. plus, importantly has been hit plenty (sparing mainly), half the battle with these celeb boxers is can they stay calm when hit.

Not suggesting Dannis striking is quality at all, But has KSI actualy been training boxing that much? i havent seen him do anything in recent years.

should be a live fight. (id favor KSI in big part because his team must favor him to pick this fight).

I heard KSI trains pretty seriously. Dannis just seems to be a grappler no? How did he become famous?

Yeah - he’s a grappler. I’d imagine KSI will win. Dannis is mainly known for being part of Conor McGregor’s team. He’s a very solid grappler - 2 wins from 2 in Bellator albeit at a lowish level.
