Mohamed Ali is a very popular name across the globe, plus with the boxing connection...... hmmmm.
James Smith could be the one.

I know there are some fighters that if you're looking them up by their name it's almost hopeless you'll ever find the guy you're looking for. Some guys can almost only be found if you click their name while scrolling through the record of one of their opponents or something.

I meant both. Joe Brown is very common.

Re: Most common name in boxing
Boxrec search gives 17 or so pages of John or Johnny Smiths, only 6 of Joe (or Joey, or Joseph) Brown.
Would Jon (Jonny) Smith count the same as John Smith? Could be Jonathan, so I would say no.
James or Jimmy Smith 13 pages.
Only a couple of pages of various Muhammad Ali permutations.
I'm calling it for John Smith at the moment.
