Gorman was finished, ref should’ve stopped it but bobs a house ref

The most basic of punches done well, gets the job done.
Well done Fabio.
Even if Gorman was in better shape, he didn't have the defence to stop those shots getting through.
Good fight, might be better than the upcoming Chinny Vs Blobby?

Yeah. He was going down with every decent shot. Whether he was properly hurt or any other reason I think the end was near.gregregegg wrote: ↑26 Nov 2022, 17:51writing on the wall? i thought gorman was welll into it. never looked badly hurt.maverick23 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2022, 17:50 Gorman down again in round 3. Corner threw the towel in at a strange time but I think the writing was on the wall.

Gorman was on stiff legs at the end, and when he tapped his gloves it told me he was gearing himself up to absorb more.
Wardley's straight right will cut through a lot of guards, but landing with the small knuckles like that is always an injury risk. You could see Gorman was expecting an overhand.

Gorman was going down without looking buzzed at all. eyes looked clear even 1 second after the big shots landed. towl came in when he was fine and he hardly argued it, which is weird i cant say iv ever seen a not hurt fighter not argue with a 3rd round towl throw....
I am suspect on that loss, everything about it seems weird. Mabey gorman and his team just lack heart, but that seemed odd.

Fun heavyweight scrap that, Gorman started off really well putting his shots together nicely, clearly won the 1st and was winning the 2nd as well, broke Wardley's nose and had him holding then it was if Wardley thought fck it let's go, just started throwing bombs and trading and it paid off, dropped Gorman with a right hand then again with a chopping right, complete turnaround, Gorman down again in the 3rd from another right and he took a long time to get up, the writing was on the wall, he didn't mind the towel coming in, he was more than likely going to get beat up some more
Re: Round-by-Round: Dillian Whyte vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN - 26 November 2022
Why was Gorman just standing on the ropes inviting shots ? Is his conditioning is that bad he just couldn't move , he actually called wardley in early doors , not the best idea .
Pleased for Wardley tho , he comes across well.

To be fair to Eddie he predicted this one spot on.
Gorman’s resilience was disappointing though. The fight seemed so winnable stylistically.

Fabio isn’t in a bad fight. He’s pretty basic and was hurt in the second round (as he has been before) and then just walked through Gorman. A tough bloke.

would love to see Dave Allen vs wardly for the brittish. chuck it on the whyte vs AJ undercard....
Re: Round-by-Round: Dillian Whyte vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN - 26 November 2022
Gorman looked so slick compared to Wardley, he could have won it but Fabio reached from the bottom and went balls to the wall and demolished his opponent. Short but awesome bout.

Looked that way. Had he been throwing it would've been a premature stoppage, but he was moving away from a relatively fresh Wardley at the time.
Had his wits about him, but I understand his corner not wanting to watch Wardley tee off on him in case he lands a short counter.

The commentary team goung on about how Fabio got this done two rounds earlier than DDD.

Gorman wasn't this chinny then.
If you want that as a comparison, just put Doobie in with Wardley and watch him ragdoll him around the ring..

Also don't understand why Gorman didn't look that disappointed at losing , I'd be gutted .
Where does he go from here ?
I wish he'd train properly and commit to boxing . I think he'd be a really good fighter .

I hope this main event is worth watching.
Franklin doesn’t have the look of a man with a game plan.

yeah agree with most of the above...
All credit to Wardley - ballsy stuff from him - but that looked so winnable for Gorm. Feels like he lost it, rather than Fab won.
The only thing left for Gorm is win-some-lose-some undercard attraction, like Dave Allen. Could fight, Fisher, Adelaye, et al..

He is wayyy to slick for fisher or adelaye, so they wont want that... I cant see Dave allen taking that fight without the british on the line... (interestingly he has already asked for the wardly fight on insta since wardlys win)...skanksta wrote: ↑26 Nov 2022, 18:12 yeah agree with most of the above...

Yeah - you’d prefer him to be kicking off about his corner stopping it.
I think he’s in a tough spot now. He’s technically decent so it’d be a risk putting prospects in with him and there’d be no interest in him rebuilding against poor Eastern Europeans. He also doesn’t sell many tickets so I can’t see him being in high demand.

I can't understand why Gorman's still dodging the salads.

Gorman did have a fair go back, but needs to be lighter and less passive in future. He was outboxing Wardley until he hurt him, when Fab's ambition and grit came through.
