Scott Harrison drives out the demon drink

Post by WayoftheCass »

As I'm sure you know, Scott has moved his operation to Belfast and John Breen's Sacred Heart Gym.
Sometimes a change does you good but I just don't see how moving from Glasgow to Belfast is going to cut down the chances of you going out on a Saturday night wearing a Celtic top with nose candy in your back packet and kicking off with coppers who you think are victimising you. Know what I mean?
Anyhoo I read that Scott was spending time in a local convent with some pretty devout nuns. I knew Scott was a Catholic as I've seen him raising money for charity in various Catholic papers but I just figured he wasn't what you would call 'devout'.
Previously I'd been a little suspicious of the whole 'alcoholism' claims. I just figured he didn't give a f*ck anymore. But these stories of sudden deep spirituality , no pun intended, suggest that maybe Scott really was requiring some help.
Anyway hopefully he doesn't get stripped before defending again and I really hope he gets the BIG fight he's always wanted. And if he does get it I think we all hope that he actually turns up for it. :TU:

I certainly won't be venturing out into Belfast on a Saturday night with Harrison on the rampage

I didn't realise this but JMM's recent victory was for the WBO interim title which suggests Scott will have to take that fight or he'll get stripped. If ever he needed motivation then this is it because he'll be a big under dog against Marquez. :TU:

Well if rampaging are his plans then at least he's in the right city for it. PSNI be warned. The Provos and Loyalists were bad but Scott Harrison on the ran dan full of wiz is something else entirely. :D :TU:

He'll need to be on the rampage ran dam and wiz if/when he meets JMM. Let's hope he keeps the pandoras box closed until the night when/if it happens.

Call me cynical but i can't see him fighting Marquez anytime soon, he will more than likely be stripped and move up. The drink problem is a sufficient get out clause of such a hard fight, he will be seeking a tune up maybe or am i underestimating his toughness?

JMM would tear Scott an new arsehole on the Glaswegian's best night, never mind a version of Harrison who is returning from a drugs/drink hiatus..

No offense intended there, its just that JMM's skills puts him amongst the best fighters of the last 30 yrs - he would toy with Scott.
