I can't stand Hearn because he's a lying pompous jerk.

Yank promoters hate him because he's a threat.

I favor Haney to win, but disagree with those that think it will be easy. Loma is one of the best technicians ever.

There is also the factor of Haney being a huge drainer. Got to affect his strength. Loma on the otherhand, is full strength, but smaller.
Guess it evens out. Haney should move up, but young enough to cut like crazy still.

Imo Nobody gonna beat Haney at 135. Not even Stevenson. Haney is too much for Loma now. Young kid with very high boxing Iq, excellent Jab , good work to the body, damn good speed, excellent work Ethic and superb defense.

Devin Haney Next Fight On PPV In May Against Vasyl Lomachenko

Devin Haney reveals his next fight against Vasyl Lomachenko will be on ESPN pay-per-view in May, with all four lightweight belts on the line.

Some boxing fans will take issue with paying to see Haney on PPV because they don’t view him as worthy of pay-per-view due to his sometimes dull style of fighting, which involves a lot of clinching & jabbing and not much in the way of power.

For fans that want to see the 34-year-old Lomachenko in one of the biggest fights of his career, with him having lost a few stages due to age, they’ll have to pay for the privilege.

This is a David vs. Goliath type of match due to the massive welterweight-size of Haney against the tiny featherweight-sized Lomachenko. Haney should already be campaigning at 140, at the very least, and it’s entirely possible that he won’t make weight for the Loma fight, given how huge he’s looked since his last fight in October.

By the time Haney finishes rehydrating for the fight, he’ll resemble a junior middleweight, and Lomachenko is going to be up against it, outsized even more so than when he fought the hulking Teofimo Lopez in October 2020.

Mike Coppinger reports that Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) has agreed to face Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) in May. They have a deal in place, but no contracts have been signed yet.

X2 regarding Ward. Smart guy. I do think either Spence or Crawford beats the current version of Boots, even though neither will risk it. Spence moving up might force Bud to fight Boots.

As far as Loma vs Haney? This is the fight Haney has wanted for a few years. It won't be easy, because Haney is like Spence, a huge weight drainer. If Loma was a huge puncher, I'd pick him, but have to go with Haney in a 116-112 type decision.

Lomachenko's well into his 30s and his best days are behind him, and Teofimo Lopez was the guy who beat Loma when Loma was a P4P guy. Loma is not a P4P guy anymore, and in hindsight, may have been overrated even at that time. If it goes to a decision, I also think Haney will receive the benefit of close rounds as he is younger, American, and far more marketable than Loma. Prediction, Haney decision. In Loma's prime (beating Rigondeaux and Walter's, geez time flies I think thats more than 5 years ago now) may have been a different story though.

Not sure about Haney being far more marketable. Actually, Loma was overrated because of his marketability in addition to everything. Haney needs the Loma bout to boost own marketability.
