Agit Kabayel vs. Agron Smakici - March 4, 2023
Press Release
Heavyweight Agit Kabayel will step into the ring for the first time in his hometown of Bochum. Bochum's "Sportsman of the Year 2021" will thus fulfill his dream to have a fight in his city.
The SES Box Gala will take place on January 28 in Bochum's RuhrCongress Hall.
Kabayel, 30-years-old, 22-0, and 14 KOs,, is looking to get himself in line for a world title shot. The undefeated and European heavyweight champion from 2017 to 2019, is currently in the world rankings of three world boxing associations (IBF #7 / WBO #11 / WBA #12).
The Bochum boxer was born in Leverkusen in 1992, has lived in Bochum-Wattenscheid since his childhood and is coached in Düsseldorf by his long-standing coach Sukru Aksu. Kabayel has been promoted by SES Boxing since the beginning of 2016.
Kabayel stated: "I'm constantly being approached on the street on when I'm finally going to box here in the Ruhr area. I've now competed 22 fights away from home, and I was able to celebrate my successes there and am still unbeaten. I can finally celebrate this in January with a fight in front of my fans in my city. I'm really impatient now and I'm really looking forward to this home game. I can promise my people in the Ruhr area a great start to the year with an exciting evening of great boxing!”
More information about the Kabayel fight and the other professional boxing matches that are still being planned will follow in the next few weeks.

He’s still mandatory with Kadiru..
Deadline is Nov 17.
Would be an all-German HW fight.

Decent enough fight. I'd want Kadiru to win solely because Kabayel has no ambition to go any higher.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 Nov 2022, 04:35 He’s still mandatory with Kadiru..

It's crazy that he's now 30, which is the same age as Parker and older than Bakole, yet has not improved on his victory of Chisora 5(!) Years ago.
I can't see him facing many of the available guys ranked by the orgs, especially as the supposed A-side, so we can only hope for an opponent like Kadiru, Demirezen, Yoka or Pulev but we're more likely to get Hammer, Frank, Camkiran or Mulowayi.

Re: Agit Kabayel vs. TBA - January 28, 2023
Man Agit has wasted his career. He clearly beat Chisora and then Fights once a year for the last 5 years. in the meantime Chisora goes 6-4 since losing to Agit and is making a career high paycheck in a title shot.
Agit needs to step up or get out of the sport. A waste of talent

This TBA guy has to be the most active boxer in history.

Kabayel's handlers have blown his career.

Like many others, he's been suffering from bad management and promotion.tiny_acres wrote: ↑07 Nov 2022, 17:12 Man Agit has wasted his career. He says he wants to fight often, but they are doing a poor job for him.

Havent seen much of Kab, but what iv seen i really dont rate him.
That said pretty amazing to beat chizzy @25 years old and then go on to do fornicate all. Having to duck joyce was a speed bump, then the pandemic. it is a bit of a mystery.
Should try hunt down that euro again now that joyce has moved past it. i cant see him ever been a player at world title levle, but could fiddle around with euro fights. Otto vs Kab would be a perfect Euro title fight, wouldent get anyones dick hard, but just a solid matchup for too guys with not much else going on.

Kabayel opponent named
Unbeaten IBF #8, WBO #10, WBA #11 heavyweight Agit Kabayel (22-0, 14 KOs) will face Agron Smakici (19-1, 17 KOs) when he returns to the ring on January 28 at the RuhrCongress Hall in Bochum, Germany.
The EBU has officially sanctioned the bout for the vacant European title.
A win would be Kabayel’s second reign as European champion.
He previously held the belt from 2017 to 2019 and defended it three times, including a win against recent world title challenger Derek Chisora.

Maybe second worse. Ivan Dychko is ruined.
Re: Agit Kabayel vs. Agron Smakici - January 28, 2023
Why does he still need boxing? Probably he has something to do considering how often he fights and against whom.

He's extremely dull to watch but effective
Not surprised they've found it hard to get fights
Can't see him going much further

A heavyweight's goal should be to get a title shot.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑07 Dec 2022, 08:50 He's extremely dull to watch but effective

No matter how..
Look at Yarde, he's managed two world title shots of the back of fighting tinned tomatoes.

Kayabel openly says he only wants to fight once a year. I get not wanting to wear down your body kayabel isnt a champion, kayabel is nr 10 in the wbo rankings so why not fight for example Demirezen to get higher in the rankings and thats a solid fight.
He needs to get going to be 30 and your most notable win being chisora 5 years ago is ridicolous. He needs to get his shit together and fight some solid competiton before he becomes the next Ryan garcia, padding out the record and waiting yars to fight for a belt, however garcia is 24 and kayabel is 30

That kind of shocked me. I thought Kabayel would of been much higher
