It’s most likely gonna be Lara.
Which is good news.
Which is good news.

It's a really good fight. Even if Wood loses, Matchroom get to keep the belt circulating around their fighters for a good while.

I love the fight. Just wish Eddie would get announcing. Unless I’m missing something no Matchroom DAZN cards confirmed yet.

Apparently meeting yesterday with DAZN to confirm everything and will announce before Christmas. We'll see.maverick23 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 06:36 I love the fight. Just wish Eddie would get announcing. Unless I’m missing something no Matchroom DAZN cards confirmed yet.
Given their two biggest stars in the UK aren't in positions to confirm fights at the moment, Cordina hasn't started training yet, it's only 7 weeks from when they want Lara/Wood to fight, and they haven't got much else on their books other than Callum Smith vs Lyndon Arthur (ew), it'll be interesting to see the actual details.

He hasn’t confirmed any dates yet. He was talking Wood fighting either late Jan or first Saturday in Feb at the weekend.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 07:26He’s already confirmed dates and likely headliners already. Late Jan is 6 weeks away on Saturday. He seems to want to announce everything at the same time. Forget about it and just announce the shows he can. Tickets to a boxing show are any easy present for someone too.

He said a few weeks that the Q1 line up would be announced at the Warrington show.garethhop wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 07:41Apparently meeting yesterday with DAZN to confirm everything and will announce before Christmas. They’re not doing themselves any favours. Seemingly shortening the window for ticket sales more and more.
I get that they want to announce every show together but when we’re talking 6/7 weeks away they should just get the fights announced as quickly as they can.

Totally agree although sense their hands are tied by DAZN on this one.maverick23 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 09:15He said a few weeks that the Q1 line up would be announced at the Warrington show.garethhop wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 07:41Apparently meeting yesterday with DAZN to confirm everything and will announce before Christmas. Hope that Wood doesn't "injure" himself this time...

I thought it was the 4th of Feb. Is it now looking like the 18th?

Warrington: "Talk of Wood Facing Lara - Why Can't I Have The Winner"
"The first few nights were difficult because I closed my eyes and all I could do was see him celebrating," Warrington told BBC Sport.
"It was hard to close my eyes and see him jumping around, holding my belt. I turned one side of the pillow, close my eyes, see him again. Then I turn the other side, close my eyes and I'd see him again.
"On Monday and Tuesday [following the loss] I wanted to put my trainers on and start running. I wanted to get back into the gym. If I didn't have those feelings, it would be time to call it a day but it's still there, that fire is still there. I've just lost a majority decision and people say it could have gone either way. I've not been disgraced, and I finished the fight stronger than he did but maybe I just got it wrong at the start. I've still got it and I want to put it right [in 2023]."
"Leigh Wood is going to be out soon and there's talks about him facing Lara - why can't I have the winner out of them two? I've got to be patient now because I've kind of gone on to the B-side," Warrington said.
"They [Wood and his team] still want the fight because it's a big fight domestically. That fight will bring a lot of pounds to the table and brings a lot of attention."

Warrington's sense of entitlement is hilarious, he shouldn't have been given the shot at Kiko after casually relinquishing the IBF, but now he thinks his recent 1 - 2 - 1 record earns him another title opportunity.
