Exactly. Who the fvck has time to watch the 20 or so clickbait videos that IFL put out every day? That’s why people shouldn’t post them on here without a summary, most of them aren’t worth watching at all.

Someone has to take the plunge and watch the vids though. It won't be me that's for sure.

I’d hope the people who decide to post all these videos have actually watched them in advance, otherwise they’re basically spamming the forum.

But yeah, doubt they bother tbh

He thinks they’ve got a fight on the contract left and they’re trying to protect it.

Was Frank W a bully for doing similar?

if Okolie and everyone around him inclusing shalom insist there is no contract in place and no fight left then why hasnt he simply moved on. Unfortunately Kugan doesn't ask the most obvious question.

A pretty good watch.

He comes across fine.

His contract had seemingly to all come to an end. Negotiations were going slowly. He got an offer from elsewhere and asked Matchroom to increase. Things got legal and it appears that the 'one more fight' is a technical clause which Matchroom used to keep him off Sky.

Next fight may well be a Sky fight that features Matchroom on the poster.....

Yeah. I thought he came across more measured than I was expecting.

I get the impression he regrets his tweets.

Re: the additional fight, I thought he was inferring that Eddie agreed it with 258 and not directly with him. I’m sure that’s fine the vast bulk of the time but clearly not here.

I’d imagine that Matchroom have the upper hand legally as they’ll probably have something signed/in writing from 258 re: the additional fight (the get active post covid Jeżewski fight supposedly not counting to his contractual fight count) and 258 will have legal right to act on Lawrence’s behalf.

I’m sure Lawrence has found a lawyer though who’d say that it should have been formally agreed with Lawrence beforehand. Probably should but at the time they probably didn’t realise Eddie was going to DAZN and there’d be a new player in town with a chunky wallet.

Video summery.... Okolie has done the number of fights that was in the contract. But hearn claims the late replacment fight against Jezewski didnt count (im assuming there is probably paper work backing that because it would be an outragouse claim otherwise.). There was also a claim that eddie wanted 500,000 to let him leave without that suposid owed fight. I initialy though ed was in the clear, but i dunno, okolie seems calm and confedent about his position and says regardless of that the contract has expired on time as well.

Okolie actualy came off quite well in the interview. was thankfull for the watch, said he didnt even ask matchroom to match skys offer, just to get close.

nice touch was he addressed eds loyalty critisims by saying he is leaving following big money, just like ed did when dazn came along.

I cant see matchroom going this far without having some legally binding contract in place .
all this crap about maybe or maybe not on more fight isnt how contracts work !
its like eddie sayin I may pay your purse or ....
who in their right mind would agree .
okolie is really screwing his own career behaving like this and getting a reputation for trying to wriggle out which is only going to make other promoters cover their arses even more than normal.

He lost me when he played the race card with that tweet. Entitled muppet.

He should just have gotten the last fight over and binned Eddie . Problem solved.

I thought he came across well, he seems very confident his contract has ended doesn't he but I can't see EH arguing the opposite unless he knows full well he is legally covered.

What we need is a very impartial party to come in and audit this situation.

We need that no more as you’ve gone to Lawrence Okolie’s brother who will definitely be as impartial as they come.

Reminds me a bit of the IFL interviews they do with Dean Whyte and Young Fury on certain situations as if they aren’t going to go with the pro my brother angle. PS I know Dean isn’t Dillians actual brother but the point stands.

Got a bit bored but the talk about Hearn and Matchroom starts about 06:30

My cousin went to school with Lawrence and used to know him well, and appreciates me sending him updates on Lawrence's progress as he doesn't follow boxing and apparently LO has blocked or unfollowed (or something, I'm not on Twitter) all his old schoolmates.

That's the only reason I care about Okolie so I have given up on this interview around the 14:00 mark. It's pretty boring.

What next your sister knows the tooth fairy very well?

Pack it in you silly little shill.

Tell your boss the games aren't working. Okolie said in that IG post he wants to DESTROY M.R's heavyweight stable of fighters.

A human being I know, went to school with another human being who isn't a mythical made up character that only children believe in. Lawrence Okolie is just a bloke from Hackney who just so happens to have a job as a boxer. He's not going around putting 50p's under children's pillows.

Why has Okolie blocked them all anyway?
