Dave Hulley. Myself and a friend were training amateurs at the same gym(The Empress in Mexbrough)at the time. Hulley claimed to have been an unbeaten pro boxer before he started coaching but I don't think he'd had any pro bouts.

I take a semi pro as seriously as I take someone who is semi pregnant.Teddy's Toupee wrote: ↑20 Dec 2022, 12:10I was travelling on a bus back from the Ingle's gym one evening and overheard some chap telling some other passengers he was a semi-pro boxer and did the proper boxing, not the messing about that Naseem Hamed did.

You're either licenced by the BBBC or you're not. You can't be semi-licenced.Coco wrote: ↑20 Dec 2022, 17:12I take a semi pro as seriously as I take someone who is semi pregnant.Teddy's Toupee wrote: ↑20 Dec 2022, 12:10I was travelling on a bus back from the Ingle's gym one evening and overheard some chap telling some other passengers he was a semi-pro boxer and did the proper boxing, not the messing about that Naseem Hamed did.

Yep, Paul Ingle is a great shout
His pulsating win over Junior Jones had Madison Square Garden jumping
