Motivated by the his upset loss, Duran pulls out a fairly close decision by around 96-94.

Laing would not be one of the fighters to beat Duran twice in their rematch if Duran was motivated in 1983 that fought Pipino Cuevas and Davey Moore as Duran would beat Laing on a decision or stop him late.

Laing was just better than him.

In real life it would've been Duran in a round......Laing went massively on the weed/rum/ladies and Mickey Duff pretty much had to send out a search party for him. In all likelihood Kirk would have probably failed the medical anyway
But as is this is a mythical.....I think Laing has a good-ish chance at the Royal Albert Hall.
He was super-quick, awkward as hell and a big, strong welterweight not easily bullied.
A fast turnabout and a trip to London for Duran might have been very bad news.

That's why I said 3 months, so he would have gone straight back in the gym.Bodyshot3 wrote: ↑22 Dec 2022, 15:01 In real life it would've been Duran in a round......Laing went massively on the weed/rum/ladies and Mickey Duff pretty much had to send out a search party for him.
