How these US fighters can't get a good fight but if you look at Lara's resume, he got lots of good fights.

I mean Lara was boring too, but somehow he managed to get good fights.

Whats the issue?

For the most part, any good fighter can get good fights unless their risk-reward ratio is off-the-charts bad. Pretty much every fighter who claims to be avoided by everyone is full of sh*t. Trust what happens in the ring. Don't put your faith in guys who run their mouths on social media. Obviously guys from small eastern bloc countries like Belarus with small-time promoters will legitimately have a harder time becoming a draw, being a good risk/reward ratio, and getting good fights. But as for Americans like Andrade, that's not what's going on.

The idea that the whole world is ducking Demetrius Andrade is so ridiculous when you consider that Danny Jacobs fought Golovkin and Alvarez; there's no way Jacobs would've ever ducked Andrade. Alvarez fought Golovkin, Lara, Bivol, Kovalev, Mayweather, and Cotto; there's no way that Alvarez would've ducked Andrade (though, at some points in time, Andrade would've simply been too small a draw to be the best available dance partner for Alvarez.). Lara fought practically everyone at 154 (Castano, Hurd, Martirosyan, Trout, Alvarez, Angulo, Punisher), there's no way he was afraid to fight Andrade. The only common denominator is Andrade, the guy who hasn't fought a world class opponent since Martirosyan in 2013, and he only won that fight by split decision. Andrade is the one who's afraid of losing. He only talks about being avoided to sustain a modest fanbase. He doesn't actually want any of that smoke.

Indeed its the fear of loosing and get a small payday. Pretty much these fighters that are saying they are avoided and can't get a big fight, just want a big payday and thats it.

The fighters that are willing to prove themselves at the beginning get small paydays against top fighters.

Derevyanchenko got good fights vs GGG, Jacobs and Charlo and he's an eastern european fighter.

It took a huge amount of public pressure, and dragging Canelo kicking and screaming in the ring to fight Lara. No surprise there was no rematch.

Rigo had to come up 2 weights to get the fight with Loma. Basically why I laugh at people that say poor Loma is too small for 135.
Slick southpaws in general are avoided more, obviously.

Lets be fair, beside the hardcore boxing fans, not too many people knew at that time and even nowadays who is Lara. Also Lara fought lots of top 154 pounders. I mean Lara pretty much fought everybody and he was not a draw or a facile fighter. As a fighter Lara was so "boring" and skillful that it was so hard to look decent against him or even beat him.

As for Rigo, indeed he was the smaller and older fighter vs Loma but lets remember that before Loma , Rigo fought Nonito Donaire, which was a great win for Rigo and his marquee fight.

They would not risk their 0 for a small payday. Its risk vs reward. The fine art of cherrypicking.

Honestly I think boxing would be better off without Spence, Crawford, Andrade, and Mall Charlo. Everyone is sick of hearing their BS and avoiding good fights.

They're salivating at a fight with Canelo. Anyway I think Spence, TC and Charlo are doing very well financially.

I pity those poor guys who pay their hard earned money.
