How long can Jamie Munguia keep riding the "Ducker Express" ?
Jamie Munguia is 41-0 with 33 KO's.
By now you may have thought he'd have fought somebody important, but he rolls along on the old "Ducker Express" doing pretty much what he's been doing for the last few years.
Anyone else had enough of this ?
It's getting a little out of hand now isn't it and about time he upped the competition ?

I think GPB held him back some, but can't blame that still. He turned down two title shots against Andrade and Janibek. Must not do well vs southpaws? It would be nice to see him challenged.Evander wrote: ↑03 Jan 2023, 23:18 Jamie Munguia is 41-0 with 33 KO's.

He ain't getting any of that PPV money right now.
Maybe they are waiting to sacrifice his "0" for a big payday?
Andrade or Janibek don't bring any money and I suspect Andrade would have out pointed him.
So there is some method in him waiting.

He definitely would earn more against Andrade and Alim, than against the sh1thouses, which he usually fights. Even if he lost, but in a spectacular fight, he would remain interesting to the public. For what big fight is he waiting? Canelo is in the upper weights. Golovkin? Charlo? They all, including Alim and Andrade, are ducking each other. The MW has been sh1t for quite some time, while it could be a one of the best weights. These stupid motherf8ckers could attract audience with fighting each other.

i thought his side was waiting to get ggg at the right time, but even that was like two years ago and they didnt go for it. he's got real offensive talent and has beaten some decent fighters, but then when you'd expect him to have gone forward they seemed to get spooked and he's gone nowhere at all lately
no idea what happened lately. when did golden boy lose canelo? maybe oscar felt more protective of munguia after losing his original mexican star
id never even heard of the last guy he faced

golovkin at least fought canelo, and a decent fight in japan vs murata before that. charlo, andrade, and munguia are at a whole different level of stagnation. jani went backward too.

Mung is 26 y/o, so he has enough time to keep it safe until his early thirties. Of course if in the meantime would get GGG or Canelo then its all good.
Munguia vs Eubank Jr would be a good fight too.

That's an "OK" fight, but it is still not top tier. Eubank has been proven to be second tier, otherwise he would have a world title by now- he hasn't even gone for one since he lost to Groves nearly 5 years ago, that's how confident his team are. And I'm betting a small wager that Beefy beats him in a couple of weeks anywayapollo creed wrote: ↑05 Jan 2023, 06:04 Mung is 26 y/o, so he has enough time to keep it safe until his early thirties. Calculating shrewd businessmen first, boxers second.
No real problem with that but just don't kid the fans.

I don't know if ducking other noteworthy contenders has ever been more fashionable in Boxing than it is right now.

Well here we are in February.
Not a whisper about who he'll fight next.
41-0

Maybe I have this all wrong.
41-0 ...
I think I need to see him in 20-30 more bouts before I can make a call on his overall ability as a pro.
I dunno, what do you think

Probably the only reason Munguia will fight GGG now is because of his age, I believe this fight was spoken of a year or two ago when GGG was a bit fresher but it never materialized.apollo creed wrote: ↑19 Feb 2023, 09:58Mung and GGG may happen next. Good money fight and G is old. Big cash in for both.![]()
Let's see what happens, lot of pressure from Munguia to step up the opponents that's for sure.
