How far can Frazer Clark go?

Post by 1154882 »

Big man seems confident and has plenty of ability but he has a couple of stand out amateur defeats so can he go all the way or does he fall short?

They are moving him too slowly, and at too lower a level.
He hasn't learned anything as a pro yet, just wasted a year when he can't afford to waste any years at his age and how slowly the division now moves.
He has the potential to be a contender at least.

He should maybe cut straight to it and risk Wardley. Be a huge leapfrog if he won, and Fabio's probably gonna be too far up the ladder soon.

It's unclear, while he's on the can diet.

hard to say, he's got a very good amateur background and is a big strong lump, though i cant say he's really impressed me in the pros and you only get so many joe joyces who look sh!t to the eye but can keep carrying the effectiveness up the levels. and also only so many joyces who turn pro in their 30s yet seemingly keep getting better.

actually, a poor man's joyce is a bit how i see him. granted, that might still be enough to have a good pro career

He can replicate Joyce or Zhang or Ortiz depending on how his career moves and how he approaches it all. He doesn't want to be 35 claiming to be avoided and still nowhere close to a title shot.

Needs to be fighting ten rounders for inter continental trinkets at this stage. Pointless knocking over Bulgarian bin men , he needs to be matched ambitiously

Loma, that's how you should match a standout amateur, well maybe not quite as fast but what is the point of fighting bouncers at that level?

100%..

Even if fights 5-6 times this year (never gonna happen) against BoxRec (30-70)

There’s some “names” there..

Agreed moving far too slowly both in terms of frequency of fights and level of competition.

But either way reckon he will end up fighting for a world title. Doesnt really matter these days how good you are to get into a position for fighting for a world title.

But his ceiling is fringe world level/Euro IMO.

I think in the state of the division it is quite hard to tell - it is really in a poor state. I think he is probably as good (or potentially as good) as a prime Matt Skelton - but how far would Matt go now - the peak years Skelton could quite possibly be genuine top 10 these days.

Any other era I would say European title at best.

I think if he was anything special he would have walked through Sokolowski. Especially with how shop worn Soko is.

I don't think the match making is going to be very aggressive. With how much money SKY have thrown at people like Clarke. They will tread carefully and wait for the right time to go.

Clarke's ABA final vs Joyce was a great punch-up.

Joyce made his debut against Lewison who'd fought for the British title in his previous fight (and the WBO Asia Pacific in the one before that) I thought/hoped they'd do similar with Clarke.

And that was being promoted by David Haye.
Clarke has Sky behind him.

Good call!
I would have thought The Eraser could have fought him in his 2nd or 3rd fight.
That is the level he needs to be at.
Gorman then Fabio for the British.
No more mucking around.

Fraz Clark should be eying an English title soon. Get that then alternate between English defences and 8 rounders vs overseas tough journeymen..

After 8-10 or so more fights (being busy) go after the British…

That’s the smart way I think. But if at any point he wants to chance it earlier and go after wardlys British it would be fun as fornicate. And sky being kinda desperate for big heavyweight fights Mabey that’s somthing they would throw cash at.

Bored of his progress. Will tune in in 18 months when he fights for the vacant British.
