Edward and DAZN 2023
I need some fights announced !!!!
Its coming up on mid January and nothing for the UK as of yet.
I don't care about USA boxing as its on too late
I don't care about Australian boxing as its the other side of the world
I don't care about misfits and joke boxing as I am a sports fan
We were promised 16 fight nights last year and got 12
I only count GB and I as fight nights and I love a well match fight that I know both fighters
I was a big Edward fan boy but I am now missing the Sky sports fights with the build up etc
also AJ v a top 15 should not be DAZN PPV !!!!

The only reason they have any is misfits fans forced to buy one.

Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
Well under I'd guess
Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
I was all over DAZN when they first kicked off over here, but I binned it off around October. I'd happily go back if I felt it was worth it, but I have to say, I haven't particularly missed it.
I do wonder if Eddie regrets moving away from the massive exposure of Sky and becoming the invisible man on DAZN.

Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
Its a sad fall from grace for Eddie.
DAZN just doesnt reach the mainstream. It is literally allegedly in Britain and i cant see how any of its shows make any money.
All of the above is pretty much confirmed by how many fighters Eddie has lost and inevitably how many are going to leave in the future. So many fighters just seem to be on the shelf and arent active, Callum Smith seeming to be the obvious one.
I wonder if a reconciliation with Sky Sports could happen at some point.

Sky and BT have things in place for the next few years. C Dubios will be coming through as KT is retiring, Azim looks the business, BT can keep the heavyweight titles in house if Fury beats Usyk. I'm pretty sure Eddie will have upset people along the way, too.liamlion wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 10:12 Its a sad fall from grace for Eddie.

Yep, Sky and BT are doing relatively well and Eddie isnt being missed. I see Eddie as being quite isolated and i find it all a bit sad given the position of dominance he once had.mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 10:45Sky and BT have things in place for the next few years. The fact that Eddie thought Matchroom was bigger than Sky.liamlion wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 10:52Yep, Sky and BT are doing relatively well and Eddie isnt being missed. Personally, no, but she’s a box ticker. They’ll be a lot less likely to drop it with a black woman on board. A very good one at that.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 10:59Lol you actually believe that womens boxing keeps boxing afloat? Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
DAZN US and Worldwide are always picking up UK cards whether it's Sky or the odd BT card.
Why doesn't DAZN UK ever pick up random US cards?
PBC being the main one..

Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
Eddie and I have had a falling out.
It's not irreparable, but I would need my balls lightly sucked.
The no PPVs, then everything is PPV
The lack of shows
The price increase
The lackluster undercards
The chick fights
The outright lying over Connor Benn, and about turn on drug cheats. Seems he is only anti doping if it's not his fighter.

Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
Such a meh fight. Wood is all wrong for Lara.
Halfway through January and that's all there is to look forward to?
I can see the OP's reasoning.
I pissed DAZN off nearly a year ago.
Don't regret it.

Hmmm yes Sky said they’re committed to showing womens boxingmickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2023, 12:30Personally, no, but she’s a box ticker. Re: Edward and DAZN 2023
I'm a fan of DAZN, it's no B/Nation but still better than Sky, BT and Channel 5, no doubt they need to up their game but I'm confident, as for people claiming the downfall on Eddie and Matchroom, Canelo/Golovkin 3, Usyk/Joshua 2, Bivol/Canelo, Bivol/Ramirez, Estrada/Gonzalez 3, Wood/Conlan, Taylor/Serrano off the top of my head, no way he makes they fights without DAZN, well maybe the Wood/Conlan fight , Sky's a mega machine during PPV fight week but apart from that meh, not much difference than the UK shows Matchroom put on now, they Arum cards sky show these days must to terrible numbers because they have next to no promotion or shoulder content
Gotta laugh at Warren saying nobody watches the app ,he must've forgot we seen some of his BT numbers this year
Channel 5 have been mostly poor and Sky I would say 60/40 good, the Eubank Jr/Smith card is class but the Azim card is pure aids
But yeh Eddie and DAZN need to announce more shows, Oscar needs to up his game or bail

Canelo/GGG - made twice without DAZN
Usyk/Joshua 2 - not on DAZN in main market
Bivol/Canelo - Canelo fights whoever he wants on PPV
Wood/Conlan - Purse bid
Estrada/Gonzales - Cheap as chips
etc. etc.
Apart from that.......

A monthly subscription service that doesn't actually off any new content to its viewers in the time zone it operates it is doomed to fail.
DAZN needed to be like WWE Network, all PPVs included in the fee, special events, documentaries plus all the old fights in the archive to watch
