How did you score Tyson Fury - Deontay Wilder I?

Post by Sweet Dick Willie »

Is this already boxing history?

I watched the fight a few times without scoring and had Fury winning every time. Then last year I decided to watch the whole trilogy again and had Wilder winning the first one. Don't have the score card with me right now but yeah, I don't know what went on in my head, now that I watch it I have Wilder winning only three rounds - the ones with the knockdowns plus round two. Round ten was 10-10 for me.

Furys jab just so damn superior. The lethal right hand that comes with it is something else also. Not to mention his defence... But yeah, 115-113 Fury.

114-112 Fury

Though I have no issue with the Draw. I think it's a reasonable call.

Every round Fury 10-9, except the two Wilder 10-8 rounds, where Fury was down, thus we have

Fury 116-110

I would say that was my view of the fight too. Wilder was mostly catching air throughout the contest and Fury just made him look silly eating jabs. I remember telling people before the fight that if Tyson Fury was 40% the man he was when he fought Vladimir Klitschko that he would win the fight. For me I don't care what the record books say Tyson Fury won all three fights.

The only time I've watched it was when it happened and I'm pretty sure I had it 113-113.

I picked Fury before the fight too, but a lot was trying to redicule the opinion of Fury still being the best. Now we see.

116-110 Fury, or 10-2 in rounds.

I had no issue with the draw.

Wasn't Fury's finest performance either.

Some rounds he didn't really do much himself, but he did a bit more than Wilder.

Wasn't really a masterclass like I have heard some call it.

Yeah that's exactly why I didn't mind the draw. Some of the early rounds in particular I recall Fury did a lot of showboating, and very little actual fighting, so giving those rounds to Wilder who was at least legitimately TRYING to make a fight of it I can see in rounds with very little action either way.

A draw; 7-5 Fury. But, to me, it "felt" like Fury won.

Fury got loads of credit for feints and clowning in that fight. Actual scoring punches neither landed many.

114 - 112 Fury but in the last round he got up and gave it back to Wilder during the closing minute.
