I was offered a multi-year contract to become a promoter for Probellum, It went pretty far, contracts issued and press release was about to go out and then I pulled the plug at the last minute because something didn't real right about it.

Thank God for following my gut feeling on that one.

Will someone else pick up Ritson-Davies or is that a non-starter now?

Agree with others, Probellum have fighters I'd be interested to see again (Edwards, Masoud, McGrail, Ritson, McGregor - and also Prograis etc on the other side)

They had Donaire too, but I don't think we should be worried about him.

They've already lost some of their boxers to Sky and DAZN.

Some of them names will need promoting..

Maybe Wasserman can take come on for CH5.

Let's hope they or someone do. Was quite looking forward to Ritson-Davies to be fair - February 25th I think it was meant to be. Thomas Patrick Ward in a WBA eliminator on the same card.

Its promoted by Phil Jeffries (who was always involved with the Newcastle Probellum shows), the matchmaker used to be the UK Fight Relations Manager for Probellum and most of the fighters have fought on Probellum shows. In essence its a Probellum show in everything but name...

Fair play. The original poster suggested Williamson and McGregor would be on the show. I saw the press release suggesting McGregor's still on there, but nothing on Williamson - has he been taken off?

Most likely because it will just be a tick over 6/8 rounder. The undercard includes Ben Rees and Steven Cairns who are both Probellum (or used to be).

Looks like it's being run by Dominic McKean. Anyone know much about him? He's a qualified lawyer and listed as a matchmaker on BBBofC website. He was the Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Probellum and Legal Counsel, Global Football at Wasserman before that. He's 36 and I think he's a Scouser. That's all I can find online

I don’t know anything about him bar his previous links to Probellum.

I don't know how there is a market for that kind of stuff. Do people really have such bad lives that they would sit there listening to Sam Jones banging on about boxing? Jesus.
