Matchmakers for Top Rank Inc., Anderson’s promoter, haven’t solidified Anderson’s opponent for his next fight, which will take place April 8. ESPN will televise Anderson’s next bout as part of a broadcast that’ll feature Shakur Stevenson’s debut in the lightweight division, which could come against unbeaten Japanese contender Shuichiro Yoshino.
Jonnie Rice's name has come up in some circles. Would be a decent step up for Jar.
Not huge on that fight. If he's fighting anyone from that card it should be Shaw. Ideally a Charles Martin type would be good (promotionally probably not viable though).
johnny is a great 2nd tier prospect upsetter, but i think jah's beyond a point now where i'd be really keen on that. he's leagues above guido and mr polite coffie. and i mean especially if he's already been working him over in the gym. wouldnt hate it, but there are better fights for both at a more appropriate level
im looking for a top 25ish guy for him next - get him in a pulev, demirezin, zhang, maybe franklin (he's got a bit of momentum after good show vs whyte). maybe even efe or wallin if they are being ambitious.
meanwhile, i'd like to see jonny fight a kossobutsky or wardley

Pulev is/was with Top Rank isn't he? That would be a excellent fight for a potential challenge and
he could learn a lot from that if Pulev's chin holds up. Efe then Kean would probably be next options from the TR roster because I don't see a Makhmudov fight happening anytime soon.
I think Anderson needs to step it up.
His next opponent needs to either put it on him, or be durable enough to go into championship rounds to see where Jared's engine is at because he hasn't been past 6 yet.
There is nothing to be learned by fighting negative cans.
I heard mention of him possibly fighting Ajagba
It's an in house matchup I feel he could easily win based on what we saw from Ajagba last weekend.

I don't think it's Anderson himself, but yeah, he needs to pressure his promoters to give him a real fight. They are purposely holding him back I think, for the future.

His promotion company recently signed a batch of heavies including Ajagba and Shaw.
After the bout between those two it has to be Ajagba.
I never get holding back a fighter. The longer they are at the top, the more money they earn.
Joshua was raking in millions within ten fights.
