Incredible finish there, just as Eubank looked to be getting in the groove, whallop, Smith started off well ,making Eubank uncomfortable, there was a lot of missing from both men but Eubank had a good 3rd, was nailing Smith repeatedly with uppercuts but in the 4th Smith caught him with about 8 clean shots, the uppercut the highlight, nearly decapitated Eubank before he went down, should've been stopped there, Eubank was done, Smith waded in and Eubank collapsed to the canvas and ref said enough

That was the one result that does surprise.
I guess CEJ struggled with weight-making ? He's always had a granite chin, but he just fell apart. Wasn't even a huge shot that got him going. :maybe:
My thoughts, bit wierd that he could be in with some handy guys at 168 like Groves then totally unravel vs Smith. Too light, too harsh to boil down.

I’m stunned

Really didn’t see that coming.

Didn’t think Eubank looked good, he looks drained, but never saw a comprehensive Smith stoppage as a possible outcome.

Let's be honest, did anyone pick Smith to win by early stoppage ? .

It wasn't a bad stoppage at all.
Looked bad at first, 'cos it was hard to see why Eubank went. But he was fcuked up and could barely stand. Looks like broken orbital/eye whatever.
Great win for Smith.

And the making 157 for Benn can't have helped.
RJJ's chin went after going up and down.

Joe Gallagher (and I’ve facetiously took the piss out of him and slagged the odd thing he’s said off over the years) is absolutely fvcking brilliant on the radio. His ability to very quickly and analytically but concisely describe the exact order of what happened, and how, is fantastic.

Yeah I agree, didn't fancy a stoppage either way to be honest. Very surprising but a spiteful finish from Liam, didn't let Eubank off the hook with an accurate barrage.

Could be but Beefy, since his Kurbanov debatable loss (Magomed still was and is a tough cookie), has been on a champ streak showing what a top offensive boxer is. Let's see if they rematch, but Eubank has been forever spoiled now.

So this means also Magomed Kurbanov is like the second-best middleweight now? :OhYes:

Similar to Roy, losing all that weight after going to heavy, Chris looks like he left something in the gym. Lost with grace

Thought exactly that.
I started to understand why he IS such a good trainer for the first time and I've always wondered !

That eye/cheek is serious.
I think good stoppage, Eubank had his chance after the first where he was wobbly.

I don’t disagree, no idea where he goes from here.
The losses to Groves and BJJ weren’t nearly as worrying as this.

He looked so fragile in there tonight
