Yeh he puts it all on the line, really thinks he can win, hope he’s rightKilburn wrote: ↑28 Jan 2023, 18:39Especially considering if he does lose, it’s unlikely to be anything other than conclusive.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑28 Jan 2023, 18:37 Looks like he’s off the park, he’s got some balls on him Yarde

Maybe home advantage will nick it for Yarde....

Seems wrong for Yarde to be The Beast from the East when Bert is in town ! ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Not exactly an intimidating atmosphere for Beterbiev. Not that it would matter I suspect.

As Apollo said famously, he’s just a man.
Come on Yarde!

yarde is bigger, faster and fresher... so bert by KO
Will be interesting to see how yardes chin holds up. it was acumulation and conditioning that knocked him out vs Kov, and kov can whack. But bert just seems to find clean shots that realllly hurt people.

Yarde momentarily stunned and his mouth stayed open. 1-0 Bert.

Watching it here in Peru on Argentine ESPN
Yarde has set off fast and won that round, can he keep it up?

Not too bad from Yarde in the first. Although very tense. A few check-hook corner escapes deployed affectively.
Beterbiev an ominous presence coming forward.

decent from yard, landed a bit of his own. but this looks draining already and i cant see yard lasting past 5 or 6 unless he hurts bert fairly soon.
bert round though.

Yarde obviously prepared to use the check left hook as a way of keeping him off. Good first round for him. Let's see how Bert adapts.

Nervous and Cool as a Cucumber does not compute. It can only be one or the other.

Re: Round-by-Round: Artur Beterbiev vs. Anthony Yarde - 28 January 2023
Beterbiev looks like he can do this for 12, Yarde for about 6
Yarde absolutely has to sting him with something.
