ya 80-8 is fantastic, a record even many olympic medalists dont have, surely would be a lot more out there on his boxing if true, not denying he was a legit boxer but that seems over the top

I remember years ago, probably back in the '90s, him claiming to have this sort of amateur record and me thinking, particulary as the majority would have been junior bouts, it was nonsense. Like you said you can't pad out your record like you can in the pros. A record like he claims to have would have meant he would have been one of the very best junior amateur boxers in the country and difficult to match up to get to those sort of numbers.

Winning London schoolboys 3 times , and boxing for England twice is certainly a good record , but like Coco says 80 out of 88 you would certainly of expected a few more international fights , and some international success , would'nt be too hard to check the schoolboy titles and england fights , but to be honest , I could'nt be arsed .
