It’s strange. I’m glad they’re continuing with the Mexico shows as they’re usually really competitive but it’s a shame they’re seemingly moving away from Italy/Spain as I enjoyed watching them on DAZN. Almost certainly weren’t good value for money for DAZN though.

I think Eddie’s announcing everything he can on Monday. AJ etc. I still don’t get why they couldn’t have announced the Liverpool show properly before now. Makes no sense when ticket sales are already tough over here.

I also think they’ may well have AJ/Franklin off PPV and really try and use it to relaunch DAZN over here.

It’s strange. I’m glad they’re continuing with the Mexico shows as they’re usually really competitive but it’s a shame they’re seemingly moving away from Italy/Spain as I enjoyed watching them on DAZN. Almost certainly weren’t good value for money for DAZN though.

Yep, definitely expect that. Bit of a gamble as it's just not a huge fight (albeit I think it's fine as an opponent for a comeback) but they would have undoubtedly pulled in millions in PPV income.

The Italy and Spain cards were usually pretty good and threw up some good fights, obviously a lot of guff in there as well but no different from UK, most of the flak that went towards they shows were from people who didn't watch, just slate them out of habit yet spunk their pants over the UK small hall scene which is mostly aids regardless of the talent on them

I think they’ll do Canelo/Ryder on PPV in the US. Perhaps a reduced price point though or with a properly stacked undercard. I’d be surprised if it’s PPV over here though.

I think Canelo/Ryder will end up in Mexico. Ryder’s a decent boxer but surely that’s a tough sell at the MGM 3 weeks post Garcia/Tank.

must admit I always expected the Italy / Spain shows to be dogshit, so was nearly always pleasantly surprised whenever I tuned in and they were consistently watchable at the very least.

It’s not quite that black and white. Apparently it costs £250k for Wembley vs the £750k they’ve been quoted for Croke Park. The majority of the difference is due to policing and security costs. It’s not like they’ll be able to charge the massive ticket prices they have for the Wembley fights. I’d imagine they’d have been looking to price them cheaply to get the stadium as full as possible.

They’ve picked the weekend where the European Rugby Union cup final is at the Aviva in Dublin so the government aren’t chipping in to help as hotels etc are already going to be busy.

They’d be better off going back or forwards a week and trying to get some support on the costs.

I think a lot of people forget that DAZN isn't just a boxing channel, it does plenty sports, I view the misfits stuff same as the woman's football or MMA they have on there, it's not for me but if these Misfits continue to do great numbers then it's good for the channel and can only be good for their boxing content
