If he announces he's fighting the UFC guy they should
WBC are great at ignoring their own rules. Gerbil Charlo is 18 months without a defence, I'm sure they will let it slide for Fury.
Usually they create another belt. Bit of a joke but aren't all the organisations and do the belts even matter anymore

Now that fWank has given a date of 29th April as 100% and Fury is identified as the only bit not sorted it should have him backed into a wall and unable to weasel his way out with his usual excuses.

fWank will be onto a huge payday himself from this fight - is he too forcing Fury into taking it?

I think Fury wants the fight but probably has a much higher value of himself than the Saudis do. It’ll get to a point where he can make something like 3x to fight in Saudi vs 1x at Wembley. He wants 5x from Saudi though which is causing him not to sign.

Hopefully sense will prevail and they’ll get it locked down soon.

Fury’s a great self promoter but I’d imagine he’s very difficult to deal with on fight deals.

How can it be 100% if they haven't agreed a location? :maybe:

I reckon this time next week there will be another update saying that the fight is 100% happening and there should be an announcement within the next 7 days. This will be on loop for a few weeks until the fight collapses and Fury moves on to take another guaranteed victory fight instead.

Meanwhile, other boxers are not able to fight for the belts.

Yes thats very likely too.

Fury is a great self promoter for sure. Any negotiation with him will be very difficult because of his huge ego - and tiny intelligence .. definitely not a good combination.

Hopefully he gets convinced into taking on Usyk on 29th April as proposed.

I have to agree with you on this.
I just do not see Fury wanting this fight when there is money to make on easier fights

Billy Joe Saunders' back yard? John Fury's field? Some cobbles somewhere in Saudi Arabia?

5 days later from this tweet and screaming silence on the Fury vs Uysk fight. I notice that Francis Ngannou is making a lot of noises about fighting Fury on twitter. I suspect that's the direction of travel.

“They’re hoping they can make this fight official and make this fight on April 29th. My understanding from the Usyk side, they’ve agreed to everything and signed off. There’s no issues from my understanding on the Usyk side,” said Dan Rafael to iFL TV about the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk negotiations.

“That’s not to say that there’s no huge issues on the Fury side, but they’re still unaware of where this fight is going to take place. Obviously, if this fight is going to take place in Wembley, there’s going to be one amount of money that is generated by the gate.

“But if they wind up in a place in the Middle East, for example, they’ll probably be greater money that will change the structure from the business side of things because the money is going to be so much more increased.

“The main thing is, and this isn’t specific to either boxer, is the two sides have to get the site settled. You can’t have a boxing match if you don’t have a place to put the ring. I don’t know when they have the cut-off date or when the deadline is when they should have that done.

“If you’re looking at an event at the end of April, particularly of that magnitude of the undisputed heavyweight championship, there’s still some time to go, but it’s getting closer, and you want to get this situated.

“You want to allow fans, particularly if the fights are going to take place in the Middle East, you want to allow enough time for everybody is thinking about traveling to make their arrangements, whether it’s a hotel or airfare,” said Rafael.

If Fury v Usyk doesn't happen on April 29th 2023 Mickey1975 and BigDoofus should be banished from BoxRec until the fight does happen.

He's looking awfully small. I think it might be to his detriment him losing as much weight as he is. Anyways no point in Tyson Fury saying anything unless a venue was ever secured and the Ukrainian's signature is on the contract. No point advertising a fight that has not been delivered yet.

I think Paris Fury would prefer the term `petite` to describe her frame.
