Will Ike Ibeabuchi get paroled in 2007 and dominate the heavyweight division for the next several years?

Ike is the greatest fighter who never was; an internet myth who people mull over to distract from how bland and poor the division has been (though it has been getting better in recent fights).

He was big, powerful and looked excellent v Byrd and Tua but unfortunately was as mad as a box of frogs.

As I understand he weighs about 300lbs and is on heavy medication to keep the whispering voices at bey...

How is any such individual ever going to succeed in top line sport?

I hope he comes out,better than he ever was,in fantastic shape......then gets ko'ed in 2 against his first serious opponent.
Maybe then,people will stop harking on about how great he COULD have been,or what he was GONNA do to Lewis.

Best thing that ever happened to him was getting locked up.It means he will forever remain as a true great in some people's eyes,one that never fulfilled his potential.
It also meant he did'nt get the schooling Lewis would have given him.

The day Ike walks out of prison whenever that may be he will probably be deported back to Nigeria anyway.

Also if Micheal Grant had been locked up before the Lennox Lewis fight many would be proclaiming him as 'The Greatest that never was' etc etc.

Is Ike due for release, I would be surprised, he's absolutely bloody mad, which is why he failed a parole hearing, when he started banging on about how Women should be subservient and show him respect, and that this is why he was forced to punish the woman he locked in the room and beat up or some such.

Apparently he started hearing voices first after taking a pounding from Tua in their fight.

ike is not getting out any time soon! but dont compare him to NO-CHIN michael grant, whose chin was already badly dented by golota, who, fortunately for michael, is almost as batty as ibeabuchi, but not quite as psychopathic!! ike went in the trenches with tua & TRADED BOMBS!!

Laughable, are you sure you watched the fight.

Lewis nailed Tua with an almighty right hook to the body early in the fight, and after that Tua barely tried to engage Lewis for fear of getting another clout. It would have been stupid of Lewis to stand and trade on the inside against a guy who couldn't hit him at range. With Tua's ability to absorb a shot, Lewis fought the smart fight and won on his own terms, maybe not exciting, but a fantastic performance nontheless.

Lewis put on an absolute masterclass that night, he hardly took a shot from Tua the whole night, and peppered him at will.

Ike by contrast took hundreds of punches and ended up hearing voices and going ape-shit. Smart move.

Yes, but which fight would you watch again, if you had the choice... Ike vs. Tua, of course!! Ike was fierce and fiercely entertaining!

And you just confirmed what I was saying... Lewis didn't "destroy" Tua, he simply "outboxed him". ( So did Byrd ) End of dicussion.

Did anyone else think that Tua beat Ike?
I have only seen a few rounds myself,and it was hard to seperate them.I have heard quite a few people scored it in favour if Tua.
From the 3-4 rounds I have seen,it looked a cracking fight.

But,Lennox showed everybody how you fight a short,squat banger like Tua.
Shame Ike did'nt try to employ the same tactics.He might not have had his brain scrambled,and actually gone on to achieve something in the sport.
Then we would'nt have nutters going on about Ike as the man who would have slayed Lewis(an all time top 10 heavy remember!)
Would'nt be suprised if,these are the same people that were suggesting Wlad was gonna rip Lewis apart,before he ran into Sanders....

Spot on.

Ike won a very close decision against Tua, the judges cards were a little wide IMO, Lederman had Tua winning, I personally had the fight a draw. He took out Byrd in emphatic fashion and that was probably the most impressive win of his career. His work-rate was phenomenal however and if he could get through the opening six rounds vs Lewis then he would have stood a very big chance of pulling the upset. Make no mistake, Lewis had stamina problems, that is not up for debate. However, I think Lewis takes Ike out in about 4 rounds so its not really an issue :)
