Imagine being on holiday in Istanbul and having nothing better to do than get into a back and forth about your favourite fighter on BoxRec, sticking up for him like he's a family member. Another thing, why do the bellends on here use these ...... in their posts(Mickey1975 does along with BoxBuzz)? It's a risible affectation.

You’ve asked me this before. Shall I pretend I’m impressed by him to level it out? I’m not a fan and never have been since The Olympics.

You'd have preferred if he was understrength and weak?
No, I’d prefer it if you left Henry’s religion out of it.

I was at the Takam and Parker fights. Definitely felt like underwhelming performances at the time. The ref obviously didn’t help in the Parker fight tho. Idiot.

Yes, clocked that. Trying to derail an historical unification match that would do boxing the power of good, for extra cash instead.

Anthony Joshua ‘Will Fight Fury Next’ If Usyk Deal Falls Apart

Eddie Hearn now saying Joshua will fight Fury in the summer if the Usyk fight doesn't happen.

I'm no fan of Fury's antics, but I do think he deserves more than 50/50 against Usyk. It's a business and he adds much more commercial value. Where does Usyk go without Fury? Fury can turn around and fight Joshua (in a bigger fight) or fill Wembley out against Joyce.

It’s a tricky one. Bob himself said that Usyk did a deal with Saudi but it seems like Fury can’t.

So Usyk will almost certainly have to take less by fighting in the U.K. How much less will be dictated by the split so I can understand him not wanting to be on the low end.

Fury will swerve Usyk, Joshua and Joyce till his dying day. I think it’s just a game to him to pick on fighters he knows he can beat easily.

Not quite true. I said all along that I wouldn’t be happy if they can’t do a deal with Usyk. I really don’t think AJ’s people have ever wanted him or Wilder. He’s taking a warm up for a shot Dillian Whyte for god sake.

So Krassyuk is hopeful a deal can be done (not quite as positive as Frank) but it sounds like the issue may be Fury’s financial demands.

We will see how stubborn he is then. Eddie guessed anyone else for Usyk will pay about a tenth of the expected purse for the linear king.

That's the bit I don't understand. As you say, he can box, he can brawl, he can punch, he can take a punch and is super quick on his feet ( mentally and physically). And yet, doesn't seem to want to go near Joshua, Joyce and Uysk especially. It's like he darent risk that undefeated record.

There is certainly a clear pattern he uses of going through a pantomime negotiation, only for it not to happen and taking a guaranteed victory fight instead. Its unmistakable.

Nothing would make me happier than Fury vs Uysk getting announced this week. It would be massive, really intriguing and great for boxing, but I 100% expect Fury to swerve it. I don't think he is certain he can beat Uysk.

Come on Lennox, you’ll be devastated if the fight gets made, even more so if Tyson wins.

Not at all. I think Boxing needs a super fight like this. Otherwise it risks losing fans and the YouTube events taking over instead.

I think it would harm Fury's legacy long-term. Like Riddick Bowe re Lennox, Fury will be considered to be a bottlejob by many fans.

I think Uysk is just trying to do his job and is fighting for legacy and, if he comes up short on the night, one gets the impression that it would be fine in his book, too. He would still be promoting Ukraine through the magnitude of this fight.

Really, if the fight is made, that would make me extremely happy.

If Fury wins, you'd have to say it shows just how good he is. I actually like Tyson but the farcial Chisora fight and appearing to duck Uysk is very disappointing. If he has lost his nerve, then let someone else be champion.

As a Fury fan, would you enjoy seeing Wilder IV or Fury in with someone who has never boxed ( Ngannou)?

Here's a good summary by Uysk's promoter:

Usyk supposedly made $40m for his last fight.

He agreed a purse with Saudis whilst Fury couldn’t. Even at a 50% split in the U.K., I’d be surprised if that would match what Usyk agreed to fight in Saudi so I can understand why he’d want equity on the split.

Normally when you’re the one pushing for a fight at home, like it seems Fury is by not doing a deal with the Saudis, you have to make concessions.

He has beaten a string of top 10 heavyweights. To ignore that is just silly
