I think Shavers would win, probably by knockout.

Assuming Dokes is in-shape and fights up to potential, he'd most likely win. Either by clear cut UD or a stoppage sometime after the seventh round.

But there's decent chance Shavers could spring an upset via early rounds stoppage. Dokes was hittable even during his peak performances. Shavers could KO anyone he hit cleanly.

If I had to put money on this, I'd say 75% chance of Dokes winning, vs. 25% chance for Shavers.

Again: my prediction is premised on the assumption that Dokes is genuinely well-prepared, mentally and physically.

X2. Shavers could catch Dokes but more times than not. Dokes wins

Shavers could KO Dokes, but Mike had enough tools to stop Earnie earlier, what he would most likely have done.

Dokes, at his absolute peak, had all the size and tools and speed that you could really want out of a heavyweight. So if this is absolute best versus absolute best I would probably give it to Dokes to win by unanimous decision.

Dynamite Dokes in his prime would outbox the prime Shavers behind his jabs and speedy combinations to either take a decision or stopping him late. If the prime Shavers fought Dokes from the post-Coetzee fight would knock him out in 8 rounds.

Deep down, the prime Dokes would beat the prime Shavers either by decision or late round stoppage like I said before.

Dokes UD. Can't see Michael stopping Earnie.
