That was some spectacular bullshit.bedreamin wrote: ↑10 Feb 2023, 06:16 Eddie Hearn Responds To Criticism Over DAZN Price Increase
The spin is quite incredible, saying a price increase is rewarding loyal customers...
It's an effort from DAZN to look after the loyal subscribers.
Perhaps more accurate is "Sports fans have a high willingness to pay and, in 2022, DAZN was successful in growing revenue
through improving the monetisation from our
customer base. We introduced different plans
around our core subscription model with content
tiering, multiple device access and pay-per-view
at price points that better reflect the premium
nature of our offer. In 2023 we will continue
optimising our proposition creating different
price points,"
From their annual review.

To me it’s massively unfair to ask people for 100 upfront or 250 in instalments when there’s no clarity on what’s to come. Making people chose between a complete gamble or getti ripped off…
Ok there is a “subscription” aj fight… no garrentee that makes everything subscription. You could pay your 100 then cop a PPV for canelo may, Ppv canelo September, a ppv for AJ November… very
very faint rumours of Connor Ben vs Pac, that’s another PPV Mabey…

But thats with a 12 month commitment. so you still have the same problem with having to have faith in the schedual and them being able to stitch you up with PPVs.maverick23 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 19:14Also have the option of £10 a month for 12 monrhs.gregregegg wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 19:03 To me it’s massively unfair to ask people for 100 upfront or 250 in instalments when there’s no clarity on what’s to come. Instead of that £100 a year.. I can pay £60 and get a decent iptv set up for the year and get a lot more channels.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 05:20There’s also the option to not buy.gregregegg wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 23:43But thats with a 12 month commitment. so you still have the same problem with having to have faith in the schedual and them being able to stitch you up with PPVs.
The one my brother has, I’ve watched boxing at his house many times and it never messes up.

Legit. But he paid £100 a year for his. I one paid £50 for a year for an IPTV sub, but it went off after 5 months and the person was nowhere to be found, so I dont trust it as much.cutsman wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 08:28‘My brother’Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 06:16Instead of that £100 a year.. Yeah there’s no end of pricks using those, that’s partly why legit services have to increase prices.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 06:16Instead of that £100 a year.. I can’t find that button. Does that mean I have to subscribe!. That’s what I’m saying to the wife anyway.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 05:20There’s also the option to not buy.gregregegg wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 23:43But thats with a 12 month commitment. so you still have the same problem with having to have faith in the schedual and them being able to stitch you up with PPVs.

I don’t think anyone is asking for help in understanding their options.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑12 Feb 2023, 05:20There’s also the option to not buy.gregregegg wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 23:43But thats with a 12 month commitment. so you still have the same problem with having to have faith in the schedual and them being able to stitch you up with PPVs.
It’s not unreasonable to lack trust in what you’ll get from DAZN, for paying up front. The dip-in and out model was, on paper at least, some sort of incentive to put on decent matches regularly. Now that it’s going.. well let’s see.
Re: DAZN more than doubles monthly cost for monthly subscribers to £19.99
Got mates who subscribe to just about every subscribable channel going , Kayo , fox , netflix , stan , dazn , and others , then never watch them there at the pub all the time , , suppose if you got the spare cash why not , personaly if i don't have the time to watch or they don't show enough content i'm not subscribing , and DAZN in Australia is a waste of money , don't show a lot of what Europe gets shown and was ppv for what they did show complete waste of money , from my view anyway

BT coming up with fights, Sky will have some PPVs so is Dazn worth this commitment? You can't even rule promoters out having shows on same night as with Whyte and Parker last year. I've ducked in and out for worthwhile fights on Dazn but wouldn't do every month.
Wood v Lara is a brilliant fight but rest of schedule is sludge. 100 quid up front for that is madness.

It’s more complicated than it should be. I had to go through Apple to change my deal to the £100.handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 12:17I was gonna go with the £9.99 a month, today was my last day I was unsubscribed this morning now I'm back on and DAZN are now blaming it on Google because I pay through them, dirty cnts I'll no be rejoiningRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 11:56The 12 month at £100? or the £9.99 p/m?handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 11:44 I unsubscribed with DAZN last week I'll resub tomorrow and start the new 12 month deal but the fly bastards just sent me an email welcoming me back as a subscriber, they better not start that shite, I've messaged them on Twitter

Cheers mate as far as Google play is concerned my DAZN is cancelled but Dazn still can't answer why they welcomed me back and why my account is up and running again when they themselves said when this new deal was announced that we'd have to resubscribemaverick23 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2023, 12:59It’s more complicated than it should be. I actually didn’t ever have any comms from DAZN about it. I had a notification from Apple re: the new pricing and it was dead easy to change. Sounds like the agent you spoke to doesn’t known what they’re doing.

Doesn’t mean they’ll get it.: but if they get some rights, expect another increase
