Would be nice for DAZN uk to pick these cards to UK fans at least.

Geeze, I posted on this thread that Takem was getting a bit old for this fight- nearly two years ago!
Well, he is only 42
Is this just a cash out fight between mates for Takem?
Like Chisora vs Fury?
I heard they sparred together a lot and are friends

Dan Azeez to box on undercard of Tony Yoka vs Carlos Takam heavyweight clash in Paris, live on Sky Sports
French star Tony Yoka will take on heavyweight rival Carlos Takam in Paris on March 11; On the undercard Dan Azeez will challenge Frenchman Thomas Faure for the European light-heavyweight title with the event live on Sky Sports
Dan Azeez will box in Paris on the undercard of the Tony Yoka vs Carlos Takam heavyweight clash on March 11, live on Sky Sports.
Azeez, the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion, will challenge for the European title when he takes on France's Thomas Faure in the latter's home country.
The main event of the bill, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, sees an all-French heavyweight showdown when Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallist Tony Yoka collides with former world title challenger Carlos Takam.
The event is a blockbuster co-promotion between BOXXER and All Star Promotions at the Zenith Paris - La Villette.
Azeez, 18-0 (12), will take the next step on his own mission to become a world title contender in his challenge for the vacant EBU European light-heavyweight championship.
"My goal has always been to become a world champion and I believe that the European title is the perfect stepping stone for me in this mission. I'm training hard and I'm excited for the fight," he said.
Opposing Azeez in this 12-round contest, Faure is a former European Union light-heavyweight champion and former French national champion who is coming into this bout on an eight-fight undefeated streak.
Last December Azeez defeated Rocky Fielding in Bournemouth, a fourth stoppage win in his last five outings, completing his ascent from English to British and Commonwealth champion.
He has set out to follow a measured but seemingly inexorable path to world championship contention. For Azeez this European title bout is the next crucial stepping stone and he travels abroad to fight for the championship crown.
The event is headlined by two Olympians as former European heavyweight champion Yoka faces the heavy-handed Cameroon-born Takam.
Yoka controversially defeated Joe Joyce in the 2016 Olympic super-heavyweight in Rio de Janeiro to win the gold medal for France but is a proven force on the European professional circuit since turning pro in 2017.
His sole loss to date came at the hands of highly-ranked heavyweight Martin Bakole, who earlier this month signed an exclusive promotional agreement with BOXXER as he prepares to make a world title run in 2023.
BOXXER CEO and founder Ben Shalom said: "We're delighted to start a relationship with Jerome Abiteboul and All Star Boxing. We really believe that we can work with promotions around the world to grow the sport and get the biggest fights made.
"Dan Azeez is such an exciting talent and the European title is the next step on his journey to world championship contention. It will be a great experience for Dan and we have more fights to announce later this week."
The event takes place on Saturday March 11 and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

I like Dan. Real old school. He came across brilliantly on the George Groves Podcast.
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Carlos Takam | Sky Sports - 11 March 2023
Although the votes are suggesting that Yoka is a big favourite, I'd suggest that not many would be surprised if Takam wins. Yoka looked very uncomfortable when Bakole pressured him and punched back. Yoka looked lost and looked like he wanted to quit so I wouldn't be massively surprised if the same happened. I've voted for Yoka but Takam is still tough and can bring it if he needs to. However, he is very old so there is that.

Yoka will just have to jab dance and run for half the rounds til takam expires and then take over .
Dont see takam being able to sustain pressure like Bakole did .

Press Release
Boxxer announced a co-promotion with French promotion All Star Promotions in Paris next month.
‘Super’ Dan Azeez will take part in the event at the Zenith Paris - La Villette on Saturday, March 11, with the event being broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Republic of Ireland and on Canal+ in France – with a third, bonus BOXXER bout to be announced later this week.
Azeez (18-0, 12 KO’s), the only light heavyweight fighter in history to win the English, British and Commonwealth titles, takes the next step on his own mission to become a world title contender as he challenges for the vacant EBU European light heavyweight championship.
Standing opposite him in the 12-round contest will be former European light heavyweight champion and former French national champion Thomas Faure (21-4-1, 2 KO’s), who rides an eight-fight undefeated streak heading into the bout.
Last December, Azeez defeated Rocky Fielding in Bournemouth – making for four stoppage wins in his last five outings – to complete his ascent from English to British and Commonwealth champion. Azeez sees the European title as the next crucial stepping stone.
Dan Azeez said: “My goal has always been to become a world champion and I believe that the European title is the perfect stepping stone for me in this mission. I’m training hard and I’m excited for the fight.”
The event is headlined by two Olympians as reigning European heavyweight champion Tony Yoka (11-1, 9 KO’s) faces the heavy-handed Cameroonian Carlos Takam (39-7-1, 28 KO’s).
Yoka – who defeated Joe Joyce at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro to win the gold medal for France – turned professional in 2017.
His sole loss to date came at the hands of highly-ranked heavyweight Martin Bakole, who earlier this month signed an exclusive promotional agreement with Boxxer as he prepares to make a world title run in 2023.
BOXXER CEO & Founder Ben Shalom said: “We’re delighted to start a relationship with Jerome Abiteboul and All Star Boxing. We really believe that we can work with promotions around the world to grow the sport and get the biggest fights made.

Good card. Would like to see Yoka come back. Azeez is great, looking forward to this fight, don't know much about Faure. On the form this looks winnable. Callum Johnson was tabbed for it and I fancied him to do it

ESPN Press Release
French Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka will return in a 10-round main event this Saturday, March 11, against former world title challenger Carlos Takam at Zenith Paris in Paris, France.
Yoka-Takam and undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 2:45 p.m. ET/11:45 a.m. PT.
Yoka (11-1, 9 KOs) had a decorated amateur career that included wins over Joseph Parker, Filip Hrgovic and Joe Joyce, the latter of whom he defeated to earn a gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Yoka turned pro in 2017 and notched 11 victories before suffering a majority decision loss to Martin Bakole last May. The 30-year-old contender is eager to regain his upward momentum in the heavyweight rankings. Takam (39-7-1, 28 KOs) is a Cameroonian-born contender who represented his homeland in the 2004 Olympics and challenged Anthony Joshua for the unified heavyweight crown in 2017. In his last fight, he ended Arslanbek Makhmudov’s knockout streak by forcing him to go 10 rounds for the first time.
In other streaming action from Paris:
British light heavyweight Dan Azeez (18-0, 12 KOs) puts his unbeaten record on the line in a 12-round battle against Frenchman Thomas Faure (21-4-1, 2 KOs) for the European title. The 33-year-old Azeez is inching closer to a world title shot and is coming off an eighth-round TKO win over former world champion Rocky Fielding last December.
Olympic gold medalist Lauren Price (2-0, 1 KO) makes her 2023 debut in an eight-round welterweight tilt against Naomi Mannes (6-1, 4 KOs). The Welsh standout is coming off a TKO win in October, while Mannes lost in a bid for the European title in November.
Undefeated middleweight Farrhad Saad (8-0-1) returns from a two-year layoff versus Britain’s Macaulay McGowan (17-3-1, 3 KOs).

Fan of Super Dan, just gets stuck in. A bit short but powerful. Can't stand Yoka though. Another drug cheat that got gifted the gold at the Olympics. The Juggernaut would obliterate him now.

Wouldn't mind seeing them run it back. Can't see it happening though. Would also be unfair on Bakole who gave Yoka a tanning.Fearful_Freddie wrote: ↑07 Mar 2023, 16:50 Fan of Super Dan, just gets stuck in. A bit short but powerful. Can't stand Yoka though. I think Dan is one of my favourite fighters now. He seems a really good bloke.
Re: Tony Yoka vs. Carlos Takam | Sky Sports - 11 March 2023
It's good to see Dan Azeez taking the traditional route towards a world title fight, picking up every belt he can domestically and none of this WBO European nonsense...

well, what would people prefer, this thomas faure vs azeez for the ebu, or a better opponent vs azeez for no title/an intercontinental?
faure's record looks mediorce tbh and he has 2 stoppages in 26 fights, i thought we cared about fights and not belts. a totally past it, blown up rocky fielding wasnt an impressive opponent last time out for azeez either
