The latest from Fury's team...very similar to every update from them since December:
*They are still trying to sort a few things out....
*Hopefully it will happen....but if not, Fury is still going to box on the 29th April..
*They have spoken to Wilder's manager yesterday, although are not sure about what is happening with Wilder vs Ruiz

Where did Tyson win his belts?handsofstone wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 14:27 Usyk has made a career out of fighting champions and contenders in their backyard, he'll fight anyone of that I've no doubt, he turned up to the Fury/Chisora 3 fight to hype up a fight with Fury and he's also been fairly vocal on social media calling Fury out, most importantly Usyk agreed his side of the deal with the Saudis
Fury on the other hand is in hiding and it seems he's pricing himself out and im not shocked in the slightest, he's a fool, the only time he ever interests me is when he's fighting and even then he loves mediocrity

fWank has gotta be frustrated himself with Fury deep down.
Usyk and AJ guarantee a huge pay day for fWank plus promote him to attract future prospects.
Fury ducking them both is not doing fWank any favours.

It’s hardly the best ever mic drop. Wladimir Klitschko was 39 years and 248 days old and had looked ordinary against Bryant Jennings about 6 months earlier. Jennings then got mullered by Luis Ortiz in 7 rounds a month after the Fury/Klitschko fight. Even you can’t argue he was anything but a fading fighter. I mean which athlete isn’t at 39 years and 248 days old? It’s just biology!mickey1975 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 15:32Where did Tyson win his belts?handsofstone wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 14:27 Usyk has made a career out of fighting champions and contenders in their backyard, he'll fight anyone of that I've no doubt, he turned up to the Fury/Chisora 3 fight to hype up a fight with Fury and he's also been fairly vocal on social media calling Fury out, most importantly Usyk agreed his side of the deal with the Saudis

Don't you know Mickey? I can forgive the confusion over not knowing Porter and Usyk are several divisions apart, but not knowing where Fury won his belts?

Trying to think what the parallel is - it’s almost as if Lennox Lewis beat Razor Ruddock and Tony Tucker, then semi-retired to Blackpool to eat curry and call everyone a dosser on social media. Then once a year jogs out for a light-spar with Buster Mathis Jr or some such killer.mickey1975 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 15:56Went to America to do a job Aj was terrified of….The Gratest wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 15:54 Don't you know Mickey? Well, look at that, you've got something to be thankful to AJ for!

Rumor has it that Fury-Usyk will be announced during the Fury-Paul event this Sunday.
How true that is, obviously, is up in the air.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. The video you posted yesterday said the Saudi prince would be making an announcement and that Usyk v Fury was off the table. Plus wouldn't it be a little odd to announce undisputed at a YouTubers event.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 22:37 Rumor has it that Fury-Usyk will be announced during the Fury-Paul event this Sunday. How true that is, obviously, is up in the air.

I'm not because my gut instinct tells me that it may not happen in April but will happen at some other point down the road but I think since money seems to be the ultimate issue with this whole fight that advertising it on a show that is attracting nothing but a social media or YouTube audience might attract the kind of money that they are all looking for.Finkel wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 00:21I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. Wait, what? What is this balmy talking about, when was Usyk supposed to fight Beterbiev as a professional?

Derek Chisora was interviewed today. He’s being used as the face of Skills Challenge who put on the bigger shows in Saudi such as the last AJ/Usyk fight.
Del was asked why the Fury/Usyk fight didn’t happen. He said Saudi made an offer, they asked for more so Saudi said no and to get that money elsewhere instead.

Seems that way doesn’t it. It’s not like they’re short of big stadiums over there and I’d be surprised if they’re needing big ticket sales to pay for it!

You gotta love Chisora. Get's a final big pay day from Fury, but can't help but tell it as it is.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:05Seems that way doesn’t it. It’s not like they’re short of big stadiums over there and I’d be surprised if they’re needing big ticket sales to pay for it!
First it was Fury's continuous obsession with 'The Bodybuilder', and now the truth about the Saudi situation (although Big John let that slip as well). They must now watch and think 'Oh fook! Derek's getting interviewed again!
I wonder just what the whole gagging order thing was about?

Sorry HomicideHenry, I'm not sure why my message came under your name.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 16:12
It’s so poor to talk about a side/b side etc when it’s for the undisputed heavyweight title… Where is the honour, Corinthian spirit, the glory of the sport. It’s so depressing, crass, obscene. Boxing is eating itself. And the main takeaway is that Tyson and his Dad don't fancy their chances against Uysk. Fury should just vacate and carry on down the freak show route with a dwindling return and let the proper champions duke it out.
