The fight gotta start in the methodial fashion. A battle of the jabs would be quite even, but after Coetzee settled a target for his right and began to land it, Ellis would be broken down. Coetzee would cotinue his job until a dec win, but possibly he would batter Ellis to the stoppage later on.

Ellis would have his moments early by outboxing Coetzee behind his jabs, right hands, combinations and movement, but in the later rounds, Coetzee would start banging his jabs to set him up his right hands to either take a decision or stopping Ellis late.

Jimmy Ellis never convinced me as good fighter, let alone being great.

Gerrie Koetzee could be outboxed for a large portion of the match, but somehow and suddenly, BOOM! Down goes Ellis for the count.
