not sure exactly what did it, looked like a mix of punches, fatigue, and being off balance

ponce was arguably winning that round until the last 15 seconds, he looked still well in the fight. i cant hate on a man for calling it a day when he's been in a battle vs a guy who killed a man, but i was not expecting such a sudden pullout

Great fight.
Ponce fought like he was the banger and it nearly worked. Came out like a train, but had nothing left when he got banged.

Looked like it was a left hook to the body which took Ponce down.

in subriel's last 4 fights he's taken 3 unbeaten records, stopped the 1 guy who beat him , and won a title. great comeback from his loss

maybe top rank regrets dropping him so quickly. incidentally, top rank dropped elvis rodriguez after his first loss too...

James v Palmetta, boring wasn't it.
Spencer looked good on the undercard.

Palmetta didn't want to sacrifice and only had a small arsenal when he got to the inside.
James beat him in the physicals, his height and reach played a big difference in the end.
James wilted a few times but it wasn't taken advantage of.
Palmetta is a good example of a strong boxer who can't work out how to get and stay on the inside.
He's solid fighter and strong, but got beat to the punch way too often.

Quite stupid tactics from Ponce. Ok, had some success in outbanging the banger in the 1st round, but it turned otherwise quickley and he didn't tried a plan B.

Reckon they will try and line up James for Conor

I should have corrected this.
James v Palmetta was not boring.
It was the previous bout between Elvis Rodriguez and Joseph Adorno that was.

Just got round to watching this fight. Enjoyed it, not much clinching, Matias could well hold on to that belt for a while …..
