Terrence Crawford v Alexis Rocha

Post by Evander »

Rocha is 22-1 [14 KO's]
25 Years Old.
Rashidi Ellis [22-0] beat him by UD in 2020.

Is this Terrence Crawford's next opponent ?
What do you think ?

Joke isn't it ?

Rocha is decent but Crawford has fought so many guys on this level. Kinda boring now.

I don't doubt it. At this point Crawford is getting close to closing the book, and making it official that he's one of the all time biggest wastes of talent in Boxing history.

At least other guys went to Prison or something who couldn't been something big. He just kinda dumbed himself out of stardom.

Nicely put :TU:
Yes it's usually prison, or a niggling injury that we lament later on as a waste of talent.
As for Crawford, its his overly developed sense of entitlement, and the failure to get the Spence fight done is what I will remember him for most.
At the age he is at now (35) he may only have another year or two at the current form, he may only have a month. It can drop off a cliff as we have seen with the lighter weights.
And then we lament the waste of one of boxing's best fighters of the current century

Part of it too is I would imagine he doesn't need as much as other fighters to have a nice living. He's from Nebraska. The cost of living in Nebraska is nowhere near what it would be in other states, so maybe he's just content to have what he has, and not push for anything more.

But I do know this. I've lost a TON of respect for Terence Crawford over the last few years, and my opinion of him as a Fighter just keeps sinking lower all the time.

The joke's on the ones that pay to watch him fight.

Crawford himself is laughing his way towards retirement.

At this point I almost think it'd be funny if Crawford's career ended as is.

If I met him I'd like to run up to him like I was excited to meet him only to be saying stuff like "Holy sh*t it's you man! The World's Greatest Duck! I mean you ducked 'em ALL! You didn't even fight Keith Thurman for f*cks sake. I mean hell they ALL fought Thurman. Porter, Garcia...even old ass Pacquiao. But not THIS GUY! This guy is the king of the ducks!"

Yeah ok Rocha has lost a fight, but he deserves to be in a mandatory position, Crawford is clearly the favourite, but Rocha is a worthy opponent

he isn't close to deserving a mandatory, he's a very limited fighter whose best win is f#cking blair cobbs. handily beaten by speedy rashidi

the last can he crushed could barely miss him

we’re talking wbo here, Rocha #1, Ortiz and Thurman have fights booked with other Orgs, and so next is Cody Crowley, would you rather see Crawford Rocha OR Crawford Crowley ?

there’s 4 belts and 4 mandos, and so i don’t think it’s unreasonable for him to be 1 of the 4, yes i have seen more of Rocha and i recall the fights being exciting,

he's got a fun style, no knocking him there, and part of why he's fun is that he eats punches. but if a world level fighter rates as an A, i'd give him a c+ tops

to find a crawford opponent who i think he's clearly better than, id have to go back about a decade, although you could argue a few ones after that were same level

Nobody pays to watch Crawford fight. Dude is like the NFT of boxing. Somehow, promoters pay him far more than he's worth to draw very little money.
