martin will be in a bigger fight than that before the summer

It doesn't get much bigger than this; a ten fight novice ranked sixty five places lower than Bakole's last opponent, who barely squeaked past Kamil Sokolowski two fights ago and has only faced one opponent with a winning record (and that was Kevin Johnson)

His last 5 fights now...

April 2023 - Shevadzutskyi
May 2022 - Yoka
Sep 2021 - Osumanu
Dec 2020 - Kuzmin
Nov 2019 - Hernandez

Seems to be a pattern of fighting once per year alternating between a decent opponent and a nobody and then repeat. This opponent in the summer will have to be worth it. Of the rumoured and possible opponents you'd think that anything but these guys would be a disappointment given how "big" it's supposed to be: Joshua, Whyte, Parker, Dubois, Hrgovic, Hunter, Hughie, Ortiz, Pulev.

That's out of order. :shame:

It's a tune up.

Does he need a 'tune up' for Jack Massey?

Bakole only fights once a year, this will be his one and only outing for 2023.

underwhelming, nowhere near a big fight...but...............for as much as he looks like a pudding, this guy was an accomplished amateur on the ukrainian team and had a winning record in WSB (with 1 loss by split decision in opponent's backyard)......martin beat soko by the same score too

so it may end up being a better fight than expected. i would guess this guy gives martin a fight early but then peters out

I'm glad someone agrees with me, I was hoping his recent signing to Boxxer would get him a match with Parker, Hunter etc but this is a big step back in my opinion.

To be fair that Yoka win on the road was a fantastic result. I think he’ll make Dubois vacate and pushed by Boxxer fight for WBA.

Bakole is really, really good. Hope he gets right amongst it now.

Why would Dubois vacate, that WBA thing he holds could potentially lead to an Usyk fight at some point?

The only fight Bakole should be chasing is a return with Hunter.

'Leave him alone' what's the problem here exactly?

I'm merely asking where he is as he should be able to clarify if this (frankly disappointing encounter) is the 'BIG' fight he's been promising for weeks.

I think you're a very rude and unpleasant man, please don't address me again.

This is a tune up for the big fight. Stop behaving like an infant and show respect to Billy, who is a genuine boxing man. What are your credentials? Other than calling him out on here from the safety of your numbered username.

'Tune up' how do you know that, do have some inside knowledge or something?

Billy is more than capable of speaking for himself (understatement there) and doesn't need the support of a cheerleader.

Where have I questioned Billy's credibility? (I merely asked where he was)

My 'credentials' aren't relevant, I merely wish for Billy to make an appearance on this thread to confirm if this fight is actually taking place (Bakole has deleted the Tweet) and if it is the BIG fight he's mooted for weeks.

If anyone is infantile here it's you I'm afraid.

As for my numerical nomenclature (that's you off to the Thesaurus) they are allocated automatically when one signs up with a Google account (we don't all get the opportunity to choose a hilariously witty one like yours)

Billy is more than capable of speaking for himself.
I once called him 'Big Fat Billy Cake' on ESB (this was before his recent impressive weight loss)

He invited me to 'say it to his face' if I ever saw him in person :oo
