Re: Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison - March 12, 2023
I'm liking this kid because this is one of those high risk situations because one can make an argument that this Harrison is just as dangerous or more dangerous than Charlo, and he doesn't have nowhere near the name recognition as Charlo.
So if Tszyu loses it may have some sort of dramatic consequence on his career. But I'm definitely liking the fact that this kid has balls the size of basketballs and is willing to risk it all. He's a go-getter who is trying to create as many opportunities for himself as possible and those kind of guys are dangerous in their own right.

Press Release
Support from the NSW Government has enabled the high-profile return to Sydney and Qudos Bank Arena for Tszyu, who will attempt to win his maiden world title in his first fight on home soil since defeating Japan’s Takeshi Inoue in November 2021.
The bout will be one of the most significant fights in Australia’s history and Main Event will provide fans around the country with live coverage available on Pay-Per-View through Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
Harrison is the former WBC super welterweight world champion and remains the only fighter to have defeated Tszyu’s previously-scheduled opponent in current undisputed champion Jermell Charlo.
As part of the undercard, Tszyu’s younger brother and rising super welterweight star, Nikita Tszyu, will enter the ring on his older sibling’s card for the very first time against undefeated southpaw and current Australasian champion Bo Belbin.
World ranked super bantamweight contender Sam Goodman takes on Irish former world champion T.J Doheny in a 10 round all action fight with world title implications on the line.
And former Olympian showstopper Paulo ‘Sweet P’ Aokuso continues his race towards an historic world title inside seven fights against experienced Cuban Yunieski Gonzalez.
“Tim Tszyu is the undisputed superstar of Australian boxing and I am delighted he gets to fight for his very first world title in front of his incredible hometown fans in Sydney,” No Limit Boxing CEO, George Rose.
“Tony Harrison is Tim’s toughest test by a mile and he will no doubt be ready to bring his very best on what I expect to be a tough day down under for him inside and outside the ring.
“It’s going to be a history-making event with an atmosphere never seen before at a world title fight in Australia. Sydney is not going to know what hit it when the first bell rings on Sunday, March 12 (Saturday, March 11 in USA).”

Although not the big fight he wanted I still think it will be a million dollar purse for Tim. Anyone know how much estimated?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 Feb 2023, 06:36 The bout will air live via pay-per-view in Australia.

I think tim was making a million+ to fight guys like hogan. Be shocked if he would take this with the expectation of less than 2-4 million.... (dont know if he will get that, but i mean charlo was probably a 5-10 million dollar fight, so doubt he would risk it for nothing..Grant wrote: ↑09 Feb 2023, 17:51Although not the big fight he wanted I still think it will be a million dollar purse for Tim. Re: Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison | Showtime - March 12, 2023
Showtime Press Release
It will be announced on tonight’s Showtime Championship Boxing telecast that Tim Tszyu, son of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu and an undefeated action fighter, will return to his birth place of Sydney, Australia to face former world champion Tony “Superbad” Harrison for the vacant Interim WBO 154-pound title in the main event of a Showtime telecast live on Saturday, March 11 (Sunday, March 12 in Australia).
Tonight’s Showtime tripleheader kicks off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and features undefeated two-division champion Rey Vargas meeting top contender O’Shaquie Foster for the vacant WBC Super Featherweight World Championship in the main event from the Alamodome in San Antonio in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.
The winner of Tszyu-Harrison is in line for a prized shot at undisputed super welterweight king Jermell Charlo. Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs) elected to face the veteran Harrison, a highly skilled, crafty fighter after Tszyu’s scheduled match with Charlo on January 28 was scratched when Charlo broke his hand in training.
Harrison (29-3-1, 21 KOs) edged Charlo in 2018 to capture a world title before he dropped their rematch a year later. In his last fight, Tszyu rose from a first-round knockdown to dominate former title challenger Terrell Gausha last March in his U.S. debut.
Now Tszyu, 28, will face another prideful veteran as he tries to revisit his match with Charlo, while Detroit’s Harrison, 32, hopes to spoil Tszyu’s homeland return and gain a third fight with Charlo in a matchup that will be announced tonight.

If true, Tsyzu better be more ready than ever. Because a top conditioned (mentally and physically) Tony Harrison is very dangerous.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 09:10 “I’ve never been this motivated to get to the top again," said Harrison to Ronnie Duncan. Harrison is a hard spiteful bastard and he’ll be looking forward to taking the silver spooned golden boy down a peg or two. Excellent fight. I think Tim will come through with a win, but it could be a torrid time for the home town hero. So this is mid afternoon Oz time?
Which means it’s early UK time, like 2am ?? I have seen it listed as 22.00 uk time, anyone any ideas?

Re: Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison | Showtime - March 11, 2023
Tony Harrison: "What Did Tim Tszyu Accomplish To Fight For Every Single One Of The Belts?"
“I mean, I think he’s an excellent example of Australia,” Harrison told FOX Sports Australia’s Ben Damon during a lengthy interview recently. “I think he’s a tough competitor. I think he balls to the wall. I think he balls to the wall, for sure. I think like win, lose or draw you gonna get the best Tim in and out every time he steps in that ring, right? But I do think he’s a flawed Tim. I do think he hasn’t faced any level of opposition.
“I don’t even know how he got here for Jermell, to be honest. You know what I mean? Like how did he – what steps did he take to get there? You know what I mean? I fought guys like [Jarrett] Hurd and Charlo, and then I was lining up to fight [Sebastian] Fundora. So, to get there my road was expensive. Like I had to expend a lot to get to my road back to Jermell.”
“How did he get there?,” Harrison said. “You know what I mean? He beat Jeff Horn. He beat [Dennis] Hogan. How did he get there? You know what I mean? So, it just lets you know that everything is political, man. And his father’s name carry weight. And Australia carries weight. And Australia got the money to carry the weight. You know what I mean? But how did he get there? You know what I mean?
“Like what did he accomplish to get there, to say he’s next up to fight for every single one of the belts? Who did he beat? Who did he fight? You know what I mean? For me, I had to go through hell, the fire in America. You know what I mean? He don’t have those kind of complications, those obstacles that he had to hurdle over and go through to get there. You know what I mean? But I think this one will show you that it’s so many levels to why you shouldn’t skip levels.”

If he wants to chose to pay the other orgs sanction fees, that's up to him.
A lot of boxers do this at times, Pulev only paid IBF fees as their mandatory against Klit.
I sure as hell would pay and fight for all the belts.
