I discovered an obituary of an honorary American Wallace H. Collier, after randomly reading the obituary section of the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper. I have been unable to confirm, if a victory over Rocky Marciano was factual. BoxRec shows the event as a loss for Collier. Is there a way to confirm the event-bout information, despite the considerable amount of time that has elapsed and considering that it was an amateur fight?

I researched the base newspapers from that time and that is where the results from Fort Lewis came from...I will see if I can find it again, but they had Marciano beating Collier in one of the weekly base bouts.
