Re: Thomas Patrick Ward vs. Otabek Kholmatov - 4 March 2023
looking forward to it, otabek looked good when i saw him and has impressive amateur background, very tall and quick , though not gotten in many pro rounds
tommy very well schooled, not as fast but good timing and punch placement, finally he's in an interesting fight

well if he wins he''s wba mandatory, he should be going for a shot......he'd be 34-0 and coming off beating a good opponent, f@cking go for it
if he loses, maybe his team will be more willing to match him in tough fights now that he doesnt have a 0 to protect

Ward has had a joke of a career. Why does he deserve an eliminator?
33 wins, not one over a good opponent. He's just been cruising on bums. And it's even less impressive because he's only stopped 5 of them.

Re: Thomas Patrick Ward vs. Otabek Kholmatov - 4 March 2023
ya it's ridiculous to be unbeaten in 34 fights while having so little of note on your record, the high point of his career was 6 years ago, this is a good step in the right direction though. otabek doesnt have many pro fights but was on the powerhouse uzbek amateur team and really impressed me in his last fight, a young talented guy.
hopefully if wardy wins this he doesn't go another 6 years of fighting meaningless bouts and get to 60-0 before using his mandatory shot

He's a really nice guy, but I think Ward could get beat tonight.

otabek reminded me a bit of rigo, not as slick, but super fast and with that digging backhand left to the body
