I reckon if George Foreman had to get robbed against Shannon Briggs in order to lose the title I figure that maybe Billy Conn could have danced circles around Shannon Briggs without much issues or problems.

Briggs was outboxed not only be the Old Foreman, but also by Frans Botha, so it's possible to see Conn doing the same, even in a more convincing fashion, since he was faster and more technical than those two. Of course, Briggs was a much bigger and stronger fella, also with huge punching power, so he could try spurts to kayo Billy, which seemed quite possible, but Shannon's stamina also sucked, so he would be dangerous only early in the fight. It would be more likely for Conn to avoid the early danger and to outpoint Briggs behind the jab, movement and short combinations.

Conn by dec, about 117-111.

Like most of his fights. Briggs has a punchers chance, but is overwhelmingly outmatched in skill, and I think Conn's skill wins the day.

Conn would outbox Briggs behind his jabs and combinations on the outside to take a decision under 15 rounds, but Briggs had the puncher's chance as he may or may not catch Conn with one big right hand to knock him out somewhere in the late rounds should Conn gets to obsess of knocking him out which would be Conn's mistake like in their first fight with the Brown Bomber himself.
