At the end of the day, I can’t force Usyk to fight, I can’t force Tyson to fight,” Warren told talkSPORT. “That’s their choice. They’re the guys getting in the ring and at the end of the day we’re either going to make this happen or not."

“We’re still none the wiser, we’re still waiting for it to be done, it’s all coming to a head now, but it’s still not done,” Warren continued.

“You need the agreement of both boxers to make it happen and at the moment we haven’t got that, so that’s where we’re at.”

“But I would say it’s not going to go past the end of this week that’s for sure because the proposed date is April 29,” Warren said. “We have to contract with a venue and so forth to make it happen.”

“I have a pot and out of that pot I can only pay what’s in it and if it’s not enough money the fight won’t happen. At the end of the day we’re running a business,” Warren said.

“I’m hoping we get it done because on one wants to see this fight more than me,” Warren said. “I promise you, because you know what, no one’s ever promoted the four belts. It’s never happened. It’d be the first time, it’d be a history-making thing. It’ll be great.

“I believe Tyson wins the fight and that’s his legacy. I want it. But I can’t force people into a situation unless they’re comfortable. And if they’re not comfortable they won’t be mentally right for the fight, and I won’t do that either.”

It's not Usyk who needs forcing to fight is it, he's chomping at the bit.

Fwank is also chomping at the bit. This weeks Boxing News acknowledges how much the teams both want it.

If both teams want it so much then why hasn't it been made. Is it because that's not actually close to being true?

As soon as Warren mentioned people's mental health having to be right, it's clear where the hold up is.

Seems that mental health is cured by paying more money though

I really do not believe either is scared of the other. Losing does not hurt Usyk one bit. For Fury it might look bad on paper but he can get a rematch clause. And Usyk might outbox him but Fury will not get seriously hurt in this fight.

I do think that Fury will not like fighting someone with quicker feet than himself.

But I expect this fight to be signed for soon-ish whether they make the April date or not. Though they both might end up having a different fight before this one. You know how the sport is.

Uysk's promoter has said they have offered Fury a 60/40 split to the winner, but Fury turned it down:

"We want to make it happen. If he doesn't want it, we can't make him want it."

And yet, last August Fury's team said a Uysk vs Fury fight would be a 50/50 split:

Fury will play hardball until Usyk moves on and announces another fight for which then Fury can come out with 'the shithouse middleweight dosser didn't want no smoke with the Gypsy King' bla bla.

Anthony Joshua vs Jermaine Franklin is very close to getting pulled.

No, HoneyG's just desperately trying to distract from his hero Fury's blatant ducking. There's a Joshua v Franklin thread.

I am not Fury but from the outside 60:40 to the winner seems very fair.

Boxing has turned into a joke overall. Fighters need to fight more and I think Mayweather/canelo/pacman/Joshua monster purses has more harm than good as they all expect lotto money for fights. Just my opinion as a sad fan that wants to see the best against the best

I am also inclined to agree with others that Fury isn’t particularly scared to face Usyk….

But he is greedy and narcissistic.

If he doesn’t get what HE thinks he is worth, he will walk away.

Which clearly shows all his talk about being a fighting man who isn’t in the sport for money (and who would fight for free) is a load of absolute Bo**ocks.

Guy is full of excrement and I can’t believe some people still lap it up.
