Magee v Woodhall

Post by wrighty »

Brian Maggee during his 168pounds IBO reign vs Richie Woodhall at the height of his Wbc reign. Both men could box, both have been stopped in the past. Who would win, the tall and rangey boxer Woodhall, or the tricky Belfast southpaw?

A toss up as it would be a good fight.

Nice fight....can't call it.

Might go for Woodhall if he got his jab working right from the outset and kept on the move.
I could see some tight rounds going his way.

Richie was class and I sure his Dad Len would have had a plan.

I like both. Neither were ever the top dog at the weight but I would say they were world class on their day. Magee was underrated and pretty good I thought, seemed vulnerable to body shouts but a talented and tough man. Richie was a pure boxer in the truest sense. I got the impression his body was just falling to bits by the end though. I think it could be either mans.
