If I remember correctly, Khaosai made $100,000 for one or more of his fights. Pongsaklek makes $20,000-$25,000 for his title defenses. Technically he is supposed to make $123,000 for his defense against Myekeni but it's doubtful he will actually get paid this much - more like his usual $20,000-$25,000.
re
Thanks!
So actually the money would really be better to fight in the States? I would imagine that Pongsaklek would make around $75,000 even for the easy defenses and a bout with Arce could bring as much as $250,000 to $500,000 in the States.
What is the usual attendance for a Pongsaklek fight in Thailand?

Pong told me he was supposed to get $250,000 for his fight against Arce but then Arce came back and told him he could only give him $150,000.
The thing is, nobody is going to pay Pong the money he wants to fight some stiff in the US PLUS what he'll need for his entourage to come with him. That alone might be more than a $25,000 purse. If he fights someone other Arce, ditto unless maybe it's Darchinyan.
As far as attendance, it's only a few thousand. Really hard for me to tell as I'm on the ring for the fights and there's people as far as the eye can see. I'd estimate no more than 5000. The problem is that ever since Galaxy, almost all fights including Pong's are free. Nobody pays. So they lose the income from the gate. Think about it, if they could get 10,000 people at $30 a pop, that's 300K. That adds alot of pop and why they don't do this, I can only imagine that the Thai public is spoiled now and won't pay. Although they did pay around $35 a ticket for the Hussein Hussein fight in Lumpini stadium - a fight I was ringside for.
