The great Kid Gavilan sheer volume of punching output was far superior than Mantequilla's.

Gavilan was stronger, too. Gavilan by decision.

Both Cuban greats would pull a great battle, but Gavilan would outcounter Napoles and outbox him with jabs and bolo punches to take a close decision.
