His right hand went after he caught a sparring partner on top of the head in sparring.
Spoke to him this afternoon. Very disappointed but said it's just not right, even after he had an injection in it. Nothing broken but the joint is inflamed and specialist said it will be okay in about three weeks as long as he doesn't use it.
Gutted for him and Jennings and us lot as it's a good little fight.
Tak is hoping he can defend his title on the undercard of Calzaghe's fight in October.
TAK OUT OF JENNINGS FIGHT
Re: TAK OUT OF JENNINGS FIGHT
Lets hope Jennings has a little tune up and its him who fights Tak in October.DIRT SUGAR wrote:His right hand went after he caught a sparring partner on top of the head in sparring.

He has no trouble with the weight Steve... His hand is knackered. He's had trouble with his right hand since he was an amateur. Even broke it against Rosa Gomez. He'd been unable to use it properly for about three weeks and after resting it he hurt it again in sparring. He even saw the same specialist who sorts out Calzaghe's hands.bennie wrote:Or maybe Tak couldn't make the weight...
It's a legit injury and he wasn't willing to take on Jennings if he couldn't use his right hand properly – makes sense to me.
