always hard to judge, when one man's prime coincides with the declines of others. but he gave taylor a hell of a fight. for winky to get to #1, he'd have to do something big, like beat Calzaghe
I doubt Hopkins fihgts again unless Jones wants a rematch.
I think Mayweather is the bext boxer, clearly, but Pacquiao's level of competition has been a lot better recently, so there's a good argument for both. If Pac beats Morales for the second time then I think he probably deserves to be number 1, but Mayweather would probably be most people's choice at the moment. Wright would be third, assuming Hopkins has definitely retired.

I gave Winky the 12th against taylor, as well as the fight. Don't believe everything that Jim Lamphead says. That was a very controversial draw, in JT's favour...imho.
Mayweather has pound for pound the best skills no doubt but accomplishment has to come into it somewhere and Pac's competition level is on a different stratosphere to Mayweather's. To put it in the simplest form Pac has not just beaten but stopped 2 all time greats (Barrera and Morales). Mayweather hasn't even come close to facing an all time great.
Since Castillo, Mayweather's choice of oppoent has been very disappointing. He hasn't even beaten an elite 140 - notice how he moves up when Tszyu's at the end - and he hasn't even faced a proper welterweight yet. That's why ppl are rallying for him to fight Margarito, who might not have the skills of Castillo but is bigger, stronger and busier with his punches.
Given that Mayweather is so skilled and nimble, and so good, Baldomir is a bit of a disappointment - Carlos is waaaaaaayyyyy toooooooo sloooooooowwwwwwwwwww. & he seems to have weight troubles.

I noticed Bika has a win over John Wayne Parr, the Thai Boxing great (obviously he wasn't agreat boxer)
He easily outboxed John Parr in there fight, Bika is getting better with each fight and is a very good fighter, Mundine and Green have never ever mentioned fighting him even though the fight could be easily made.
Baldomir is the champion though beyond doubt, so Mayweather should not get any flak for facing him. For once he's aiming to become THE MAN at the weight beyond dispute. fornicate Margarito he gets marks for longevity but his resume is average. If Margarito wants the fight that badly how about beating a decent fighter to earn the payday? Beating Kermit Cintron does not make a career.

AM has beaten Two Heads Lewis, who was good. Sahame the WBO title has had him excluded from the Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks fights. Mayorga was the last on top and I don't see Margarito getting overwhelmed.
anyhow, if he had been part of all that, he probably would be fading by now. he HAS been beating decent fighters. but now the 6'1 puncher Paul Williams is his mandatory & Williams fancies it. I look forward to seeing Margarito in a high stakes match.
