Hide's back (or is he?).

Post by stujones »

According to this site, Herbie Hide is tentatively scheduled to return on the 12th of October in Salt Lake City..... No opponent has been announced.

As yet, it doesn't look like the show will be televised but it is possible some broadcaster might pick it up cause another Cruiserweight with Character, former champion Juan Carlos Gomez, headlines - also against that famous opponent TBA.

It might be interesting to see what shape Hide is in, if indeed he does fight.

I'd love to see a fit and motivated Herbie back in the ring especially if he can get down to Cruiser, but I think this is the third time hes been rumoured to be coming back and he hasn't made it to the ring yet.

I live in hope, but I won't beleive it til I see it

Would be interesting to see him at Cruiserweight, but lets be honest lads i dont think he'd even go that far to get world title shot nowadays, hes been a pro quite a long time & i only see it ending up as it did before with Herbie Ko'd AGAIN. Mind you hope im wrong :TU:

Bet he's going to talk up a fight with David Haye, and then never actually get in the ring with him, much like he did with Williams.

Is there anyone in the boxing world that actually likes Herbie Hide the man?

Back in the day he was good to watch and had plenty of talent, but he comes across as a pig of a man. One reason why I didn't care about him then or give a toss about a possible return.

I've always thought Herbie had some mental issues and I don't think it was his fault that he came across as a buffoon, he was just born like that. If he moved to Cruisers a decade ago (and was motivated) then he could have dominated that division, ah well he's a buffoon of the highest order.

btw StickNMove, are you the infamous 'sticknmove' from the Web Boxing League (WeBL)?

If you are then it's nice to see you here :TU:

On that basis, and generally speaking, anyone who acts like an abnoxious pain in the backside can be categorised as having mental issues. It doesn't change their likeability, but I guess I'm not tolerant enough.

Don't know why Herbie didn't try to make Cruiser. Maybe it was too tight for him.

Alas, no I am not the other sticknmove you refer to. And there's me thinking I was the original. I had never heard of WeBL before, but shall take a look and, who knows, register as SticknMove2. I bet will put the original's nose out of joint! 8) :TU:

lol :-D

Do register, it's an absolutely awesome game when you get to grips with it. It's the best internet game ever. It'll take you a few weeks to get to grips with it tho, be patient and read the help pages, and don't hesitate to ask questions on the forum.

Good luck and cya around. Everyone hates the other 'stick n move' by the way, he is a very disliked character on their forums, so please whoop him in the ring! :TU:

If he had a sense of Humour, it would be classic ring name.

Unfortunately Herbie Hide's comebacks are a lot like Hameds. I'll believe it when I see it.
