Speaking to Boxing Social, Hearn said he would be happy to answer the radio host’s questions, but admitted he is concerned about being spoken over by the combative Jordan.

“I might have to set out some ground rules before we start. You’ve got to let me speak. What he does is, he talks over you.”

“He’s a very good debater, as am I, and I’m happy to answer his questions.”

Counted that as a knockdown as it was low but the ref missed it. Thought Simon scored a knockdown with the way Hearn is espousing the importance of the BBBofC and fighting in Britain but still actively promoting his next fight.

It was fun, think it was a draw or slight win for Simon, but nobody got smashed

It looks like the technicality which Hearn/Benn are trying to use are different depending on the requirements of each org/board. The WBC clearly needed intention to be proven so they provided "evidence" suggesting that egg consumption could also be the cause. With the BBBofC Hearn is using an email from the BBBofC which was sent to him regarding BJS while promoting Andrade. The email supposedly states that the BBBofC do not recognise VADA at all. Therefore, in Hearn's eyes, the VADA drug tests don't hold any weight for boxing matches happening in the UK, so why use them?

Yeah it’s daft that he’s pinning his hat on that one ‘yes I know he’s failed but the person who caught him isn’t allowed to catch him’ … it doesn’t matter if he got caught by the granny from down the street, a failed test is a failed test.

Didn’t Hearn instruct Buatsi not to sign the Pascal contract because Pascal wouldn’t agree to VADA? Now he’s saying Benn’s failed test shouldn’t count because it was from VADA. VADA is either important or it isn’t. This is where Hearn slips up – he does that many interviews he loses track of his own bollocks.

The major crux of it all centred around whether Hearn had the legal opportunity to pull the Eubank fight.

Morally he should have done. His defence was that legally he didn’t have the opportunity because there was nothing in a contract that allowed for it - and he has to abide by what the Board decided.

Apparently there was no disrepute clause, at least not one that covered a positive drugs test.

I personally find it had to believe that he could not have found a way to at least postpone it in light of the developments.
