Question: How is the rankings affected after Yoka lost a Split Decision to Takam?
Perhaps, but frankly BR's rankings have had me scratching my head when I peruse them.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑13 Mar 2023, 21:33 well adding up the names, i dont see how takam can rate too far below 15 to be honest, boxrec has him #21 atm, id say that's fairly appropriate
I reckon Helenius would take him.gregregegg wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 03:28 It’s a really solid win. I’m not as down on yoka as everyone here but I do recognise he isn’t elite… buttttt in my opinion yoka is better than:
-any wilder win in 3 years…
- any Whyte win in 3 years.
-any Ortiz win in …. Ever? Na probably 5 or 6y.
-any ddd win ever (ps explain how he is 5 stars right now…)
Any pulev win in 6 or 7 years…
-any efe win ever
-any Otto win ever…
That would make a strong case for takem top 15… but given all his recent losses and being 42 I’m ok with him remaining out. But he’s close.

I'd argue that how Helenius fights is the closest to how Yoka fights of the previous round of heavyweights. Big tall guy that dominates the lower level and looks powerful but looks gunshy and timid against the top guys and ultimately gives up fighting back. Yoka appears to have a more solid chin though.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 06:14I reckon Helenius would take him.gregregegg wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 03:28 It’s a really solid win. Yoka just looks scared in there. It would take one round for any boxer to get confident in there.
Fingers crossed we get that one. Winner probably cracks the top 10.Perkin Warbeck wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 10:47 Makhmudov vs Ajagba is rumored to be in the works. One of the two will certainly be in the top 15 after the fight.
And Wilder looks likely to fight Ngannou. Who will Ruiz fight, if anyone?

Top Rank not playing around anymore. This would be a good one.joshj909 wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 11:17Fingers crossed we get that one.
