Fifteen rounds, 8oz gloves; who takes it?

My own thoughts is that if the two met on their best night, Williams would win by late stoppage. Canzoneri was about as tough as they come, but when Williams sat down on his punches and let rip, there was nobody else as vicious. Beau Jack found this out the hard way, and he was one of the toughest ever. He wilted under Williams' brutal bombardment. Canzoneri would make a real go of it and put Williams under some serious pressure - there would be a few scary moments for Ike - but his discouraging body shots and refined jab would keep Canzoneri at a comfortable distance for certain periods in every round where Williams could get some work done. Both fighters would be pretty tired come the late rounds, Williams with a slight lead, before he opens Canzoneri up with one or two well placed shots and then turns rabid, seizing his knockout opportunity.

Good assesment. I agree. I think Williams was a bit sharper and a bigger puncher.
Id take Williams by late stoppage.

Nobody interested in these two great lightweights? Both were phenomenal fighters, and I think this could be one of the most exciting lightweight fights of all time.

I fancy Canzoneri's superior work rate to keep Ike off balance and prevent him from placing his power shots. I say this though without too much conviction as I have not seen too much of either man and have to go more by reports I have read.

I'm going to wait and see who's more popular and then give my opinion....I'm tired of my "minority" reports. This time....I'm going with the crowd....as soon as I see which way the winds are blowin I'll be sharp and ready with an opinion. But not one minute before I detect a concensus. I'm tired of galvanizing the opposition.
