Maybe this development lends credibility to Tyson’s widely derided claims to have retired after he fought Whyte. Perhaps he realised during that camp that he just didn’t have it in him to go through the deprivations of preparing for another fight unless A: the opponent carried no threat and so the camp could be easier as per the Chisora fight or B; his purse was big enough to justify going to the well one more time as per his ridiculous and unfair demands here

So how can he retire gracefully now?

Can’t remember seeing social media turn so much on a fighter. Fury is getting absolutely rinsed. Quite rightly too.

That’s not a Tyson Fury obstacle. That is a massive Usyk obstacle.

I am a big Usyk fan but I don’t get why he isn’t just scrapping the rematch clause and taking the fight on the terms he agreed to…

If he wins, he becomes the hottest contractually free and network free agent in boxing who can name his price.

Still think the fight will happen, cant see how an egocentrical type like Fury will live with himself if it didn't.
Why does that even matter?

Not sure why I have to bridge the gap from my point and you being a gimp here.

It maybe the most pertinent point to Fury lacing them up. Micky alluded in a post earlier, the crowd would be heavily weighted with travellers
cheering for their king. It would likely be more hurtful and spiteful to him were they to turn their back on him through cowardice to fight.
My social media has a lot of traveller boxers of all ages from round here on. All are upset with him.

Words fail me for once , Time to make him face Joyce for far less money than the Usyk fight , if he does'nt take it STRIP HIM , will it happen , doubt it until Frank and Arum get sick of him , without them he's finished anyway

If he beat Fury a few rounds clear he'd suddenly be the main man, upending Fury's defence that he increases the pot for both. It's all well and good talking about who's the biggest draw now, but afterwards who knows. Best thing is negotiate two figures pending the winner.

Maybe Brick'll lose patience with him and say he has to fight Joyce or find a new promoter. That'd be a great save.

Fury's trainer confirming that he was only in the UK for Lawrence's fight and hasn't been training Fury at all; and already had a plane ticket booked to head home on the 28th March:

Think that interview with sugar absolutly proves Fury had no intention whatsoever of boxing Usyk , unless he now claims he does,nt need a trainer, Wilder has coome out and said he,ll fight Usyk , yet he turned down Ruiz , he knows Usyk now has mandatorys of which he is,nt one, both Wilder and Fury will declare Usyk is scared and fight 4 coming up , called it months ago still stand by it

He obviously isn’t ready. I’m gutted and there’s nothing to even cling to to excuse it. The Sugar Hill thing was always worrying. He would have trained Okolie over here if serious. So was the lack of sparring partners. I think he’s ticked over as he always does but is nowhere near fight ready. Instead of just being honest he decided to try make it impossible for Usyk to accept, which he couldn’t. It’s hugely backfired on him. I think he’s wanted the huge Middle East money all along. They’ve even switched off comments on Gypsy King merchandise social media pages. I think the fight will happen this year, abroad. For some reason Tyson likes to be the victim/underdog and prove everyone wrong.

I suggest you sack off that mole you shared a coffee with previously Micky, all his claims of early morning training sessions and Fury being in good nic .. fella proved to be full of sh1t :verysad:

The Fury brand has always been toxic, but it has a very loyal blinkered fan base happy to ignore facts and simply believe Fury's altered reality .. they seem to have finally seen through him.

The Fury's have over stayed their time in British boxing, they need to be flushed away asap.

Not undisputed but definitely a strong replacement fight. Ruiz was the former unified champion, and he's #2 in the WBC. Wilder ducked Ruiz. Ruiz has put together a small string of wins since losing to Joshua over Arreola and Ortiz. At the very least it would be far better preparation for the undisputed clash than Chisora.

He probably was training but there’s a pretty big difference between training and training for the undisputed heavyweight championship. The fact he hasn’t had Sugar over or southpaw sparring means it wasn’t a proper camp in any way and he was probably ticking over.

A few pages back, after Fury made his last insta video claiming his name calling was him just doing amateur psychology for negotiations .. we had certain people backing him to be fully ready & prepared to face Usyk on 29th April.

I'm pretty sure when Fury makes his next video those same people will lap up his nonsense once again. :brick:

He wasn't. That happened. He did add the fight needed signing immediately. He is a 100% boxing person, license holder. Maybe wasn't in as good a nick as he was told....
Loads of my casual friends have been saying Tyson looks like he's on the sniff again right back to Joyce-Parker, no inside info, just opinions of recreational drug users.

Not true.

Fury wants either no rematch clause at all or 50/50 in a rematch in the event Usyk wins. Usyk is demanding that it’s 70/30 in his favour in the event that he wins.

The sort of demand that stops fights happening sadly.

Appols if it looks I digging at you Mick - it's just so much nonsense from all angles with Fury.

My own opinion is that Fury is merely using the title as a hand hold to maintain his celebrity; I don't think boxing has much, if any, desire for him nowadays.

Unfortunately how he conducts himself does not endear him to the public, so he will either be that ugly stain that refuses to go away .. or be ridiculed where he hides himself away.
