That was agreed before the first AJ fight when he was a challenger, completely different going into this fight with 3 belts. Even if he did agree, Fury would make other ridiculous demands in order to scupper the fight. He doesn't want to fight Usyk.

FFS Usyk has been bent over once.
He’s entitled to the same consideration if he wins - he will be UNDISPUTED!!
All this talk that Usyk can’t earn more anywhere else so should just accept any terms annoys me as well.
Fury can’t earn as much anywhere else either!!

Zero point engaging with Big Doofus. Just a troll. The bottom line is, in boxing credibility terms, Fury is a busted flush.Frostieballs wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 05:04FFS Usyk has been bent over once.

The only thing Fury will be annoyed about is that he wanted to pull the plug, but he was out manoeuvred by Uysk. He was outmanoeuvred by Uysk all the way through, and would have been in the ring, too. Hence doing everything to stop the fight from happening.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
Fury was off living it up in Tenerife for a week at 10 weeks to go.
Then faffing around in Saudi for a few days with 8 weeks to go.
No training camp in place, no trainer in place, no proper sparring partners in place with 6 weeks to go.
His trainer finally arrives but informs all that he's here to train Okolie and his return flight to the US is on the 28th of March.
Yet some (well one person) seemingly still believes Fury was going to fight against Usyk for the unified HW championship on April 29th.
Admittedly, there were no fashion shows involved.

Usually like Warren but he's talking crap here. Scared of upsetting Fury.
If Fury is so confident of beating Usyk as he’s told us hundreds of times then surely Usyk wanting 70/30 if he wins won’t be an issue?

Dev Sahni is that far up Warren's arse he's nearly coming out of his head.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
Usyk had no belts for Joshua. He has 3 now.

If he’s undisputed why does he need a rematch?Frostieballs wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 05:04FFS Usyk has been bent over once.

Doofy, just sit back and relax. Fury doesn't need to worry about the dangerous Uysk anymore. He is free to return to his soft touch schedule.
Uysk is the main man, though. What an operator. He has joined the pantheon of greats: Olympic Gold Medalist, Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion, unified heavyweight champion and ran the rival belt holder out of town. Awesome stuff.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
After claiming it was unheard of for a boxer to set a deadline, is it not hypocritical not to mention Usyk’s ridiculous 1% extra per day deadline?

Because it was signed when Usyk had no belts, is that too hard to understand?

He turned down the Fury fight in December and now he has walked away because he won’t get enough money for a rematch that he claims he doesn’t want. “Awesome stuff”.big lennox wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 06:15Doofy, just sit back and relax. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
Fury's career is seemingly more about pullouts and postponements / never on than actually fighting.
David Price
David Haye (granted not his fault at all).
Wlad Klischko 2.
Anthony Joshua (first "agreed" after Wilder 2).
Anthony Joshua (post Dillian Whyte fight).
Usyk.
Pretty certain there have been other delays also (wasn't Wilder 2 supposed to happen earlier). And these are fights in which there was serious negotiations - let alone the others that were just bullshit (e.g. the big Wilder call out after he beat Klitschko).

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
Usyk only turned the fight down in December as he had injuries. In terms of the rematch clause I don’t see why any challenger deserves a 50% share when they’ve lost the belts and the winner is the undisputed champ. Especially after only getting 30% in the first fight. I can see why Usyks team aren’t happy with that and probably feel like they’ve conceded enough as it is.BigDoofus wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 07:13He turned down the Fury fight in December and now he has walked away because he won’t get enough money for a rematch that he claims he doesn’t want. “Awesome stuff”.big lennox wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 06:15Doofy, just sit back and relax. But he said he only wanted the WBC belt and didn’t want a rematch, so why walk away about a rematch clause?Controversial wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:37Usyk only turned the fight down in December as he had injuries. He was happy to face Gassiev without a rematch clause. Besides him now being in his 37th year what has changed?

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
The Gassiev fight was the final of the WBSS so he would have signed up to the tournament and not negotiated separate commercial deals for each fight hence why there weren’t any immediate rematches from it.BigDoofus wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:52But he said he only wanted the WBC belt and didn’t want a rematch, so why walk away about a rematch clause?Controversial wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:37Usyk only turned the fight down in December as he had injuries. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 29 April 2023?
He agreed to Fury’s demand of no rematch clause. FW said yesterday he talked Fury into having it in the contract but they couldn’t agree on the split. Fighting Gassiev is a bit different to fighting for the undisputed HW title. I’m not sure if Usyk is now demanding a rematch but if it’s on the table then surely if he wins the first fight he deserves more than an even split of the purse, wouldn't you want more if you were him after only getting 30% first time around?BigDoofus wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:52But he said he only wanted the WBC belt and didn’t want a rematch, so why walk away about a rematch clause?Controversial wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:37Usyk only turned the fight down in December as he had injuries.
