Judges Chris Migliore (116-112) and Steve Weisfeld (115-113) favored the relentless Crowley’s consistent pressure and high punch output. Judge Tim Cheatham scored the fight a draw, 114-114.
According to CompuBox’s unofficial statistics, Crowley connected on 63 more punches overall than Ramos (227-of-861 to 164-of-853). CompuBox credited Crowley with landing more power punches (177-of-508 to 159-of-664) and jabs (50-of-353 to 5-of-189).

OMFG, I didn't see the build up to this. Spencer needs to fire his entire time. He's laughably small for 154. Dude is a blown up 135 lber fighting a freaking SMW!!!!
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Spencer looks like he's in a weight-class below (as above commented). Impressively fast though...but too aggressive against the bigger man.
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Spencer has a lot of heart, but he's also very, very delusional. He doesn't belong in this weight division, and he's having negligible effect on Ramos. He looks like he's getting hit by a damn train anytime Ramos hits him!
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Ramos has a lovely offensive guard, you need either long levers or good footwork to get around it.
I doubt it works on the back foot, but he doesn't seem the type of fighter to take a step back.

Unfortunately, it's a one-sided beat down. Spence's punches, although speedy, seem to have no effect on Ramos.

was looking forward to this fight, but as its been stated its as if they are in different weight clasess

Couldn’t he fight someone his own size?
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Time to throw in that towel. Spencer is catching a beating.
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Well that just wouldn't be this generation of boxing, would it? lol

the Ladies gave it a go over on ESPN, more fun than 90% of Male matchups these days

Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Ramos is a legit problem at 154, but Spencer needs to get better discipline or a new team if he's struggling to make 147. Dude should be fighting at 140.
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Alright, corner should look at stopping it soon. Only so much Spence can and should take.
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Spence looked done there, last round coming up....
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
Finally the stoppage. Like, I think it should've been stopped in the 3rd or 2nd, but it at least came. Spencer might've caught a career-ending beating there. He took so much damage to his body. It's insane he was still standing. Too tough for his own good. I hope he gets a clue and moves down.
Re: Round-by-Round: David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant - March 25, 2023
OK main event time.
Been looking forward to this one for ages. Finally Benavidez is being challenged and we will see if he is all that, or Plant earns me some sweet, sweet winnings

Wasn't anything close to a career ending beatingMexi-Box wrote: ↑25 Mar 2023, 23:59 Finally the stoppage. Like, I think it should've been stopped in the 3rd or 2nd, but it at least came. For all of our sake, I hope they don't bombard us with 20 national anthems. Let's just get this fight done!

Hate it when commentators say, “they didn’t need to take this fight.”
Just goes to show.
What we should be expecting.
Of course they need to take these fights and should.
